Unit Six
Anthony K Whelan anthonykwhelan@yahoo.com
The sailor watched as the native children played among the palm trees that lined the shore of the tiny island. He knew that before night fell the picture would change. The keen wind would stir up the waves and the ocean would become very rough. As the ship prepared to charge its way through the tremendous waves, they would strike with a loud thud against the side of the ship. He loved the sea and her moods, including the sudden storms. On a clear night he gazed at the million stars twinkling in the heaven above. they gave him the idea that they were trying to light the way for him.
