Unit Five

A PROBLEM Lukas was the name of a big, brown, lazy, farm horse. He just loved to eat grass and became so fat that his stomach was twice the size of his chest. One day, Farmer O’Hara, wanting to work his horse, walked down to the paddock. Lukas, a very cunning animal, plodded down the banks to a deep lagoon and stood in the middle. A very cross farmer tried hard to think of a plan that would get a rope around his horse’s neck or a bridle on his head, but that is another story.
