THE CHASE Tim’s hunting dog had killed many a rabbit in his short life. As Tim and his dog were walking through some thick timber, a silly rabbit jumped,with a quick spring, from its safe cover in the long grass. Twice the dog tried to bite it, but gave a loud bark, as the rabbit used an old trick it knew, turned quickly, dived under a log and into its burrow. 1.
