Level Eight. Unit One

Anthony K Whelan anthonykwhelan@yahoo.com

It was almost dawn. The sun rose slowly like a big ball of fire. Already its great flames began to warm the still cold soil. Somewhere a bird, alone on a branch, woke, and sang out to the new day. The music of its song echoed across the jungle clearing. The monkey turned his head in surprise. The elephant as it drank, lifted its trunk from the pure running water and listened.
