Level Eight Unit Two
Anthony K Whelan anthonykwhelan@yahoo.com
Chooky enjoyed living in the barn-yard. She was a chicken, a very large chicken; perhaps the largest in the barn-yard. She was most proud of her size. She pecked her way over to the old bucket and looked in. There was nothing in it so she moved on. Around the bucket she pecked, and on up to the middle of the hen-house. With a loudsquawk she flew up to the roost and looked around. From here she could see the horses and cattle in the paddocks. Little did she know that on Sunday her own blood would stain the farmer’s axe.
