Level Nine Unit Four

Being seasick, my aunt became very thirsty. She took a long drink and a powder the doctor had given her. Clutching her heart as if it would burst, she struggled to the main deck to catch the fresh breeze. Near the bow, a pair of young seagulls sheltered out of the wind. She glanced at the dirty deck awash with sea water thrown up by the waves before staggering again to the ship’s rail, and under the shelter of a newspaper, gazed longingly at the coast. aunt
