I have been teaching for thirty years. I have taught year levels, K to 10. I wrote the Mode Map when I completed my Post Graduate Diploma of Music fifteen years ago. I hope it helps, and if anyone disagrees with some of the material, so be it, as some things in music can be open to interpretation. All the information is the result of extensive research and advice from Kodaly and Orff music specialists and lecturers. I wrote up a series of spelling sheets to assist children with specific needs- children who struggled with the regular spelling activities, or children who needed a challenge. There iare a series of placement tests developed by the Victorian Education Department in 1970. The worksheets are based on the vocabulary issued by the VED and can be used by anyone for educational purposes, and are not to be sold in any way, shape or form.
