TODAY’S STORIES The Princess’s Good Luck By Carolina Rose Hyoun Borolla

There once was a princess who read many books. But she longed for a prince so she searched many castles. But no matter how many castles she searched she just couldn’t find a prince she liked. So she just read more books. After the princess could not find a prince that she liked, she read more books and in a picture book of princes she found a picture of a very nice prince. So she looked on a map to find where the prince was captured because in the picture of the prince, she saw that the prince was in a witch’s cabin that had spells over it. So she went to the place that the prince was captured and then she killed the evil witch and then she took off the spell over the prince and she asked if the prince would marry her. So in a great wedding ball they were married. After they were married, they went back to the princess’s castle and they lived there for many years. The End.

Somethings Want Nothings By Austin Lee

“What is nothing?” wondered Something. Something figured that the only way to find out what nothing was was to go to Somewhere. By the time Something was at Somewhere, he had gone through forests of fighting and flying socks. He had encountered many strange things on the way to Somewhere. Something wanted nothing but nothing, and was determined to find out what a nothing was, even if it incorporated having other obstacles along the way. When something got into Something’s way, he would fight it off (unless he was too scared). Something finally came to the spot where nothings would collect. He finally caught a Flying Nothing and wrote down its characteristics. Here was his list: Flight Pattern: N/A Body Color: N/A Prey: N/A Eye Color: N/A Body Shape: N/A Wing/Arm Color: N/A And on and on and on. He suddenly changed his mind and is glad he didn’t want nothing. He is still alive and happily kicking, as we know today. The End.

The Tiny Mouse Ninjas That Live on Venus By Nathaniel Berg

Once a long long time ago. But if you want you don’t need to start so long ago. There was a itsy bitsy tiny mouse who wore black clothes and who was skilled in the Japanese ancient martial art of mouse ninja jutsu. And he also had a little tiny violet convertible. There were many other tiny ninjas and this one was particularly called “I Like To Do La Cucuracha.” So one day two ninjas met up and had a great battle. It started out as something called The mouse mini fight. So first the nijas enemy struck the blade but the other ninja blocked it. Then, the ninja that did not strike struck and it hit the mouse ninja. Sure enough he split open and no, he didn’t bleed blood, he bled donuts. Then after that learning their lesson the tiny mice ninjas lived together in peace and opened up thousands of tango schools. They also lived on Venus and because they didn’t have space suits, they had zero gravity and floated all around. The end.

TODAY’S STORIES The Silly Halloween

By The Kindergarten Class at Seven Arrows Once upon a time Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says “Geez Louise, you are funky!”) lived in Candyland. Everyone else that lived there was a gummy bear. These four friends were celebrating Halloween so they decided to go trick-ortreating. When Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says, Geez Louise, you are funky!”) knocked on someone’s door, a man answered. He said, “Geez Louise, you are dressed pretty funky. You definitely get a swamp of candy pretty funkers!” They got their candy gummies and then they saw a man with a diaper on his head! He was dressed up as a baby diaper because he just wanted to have a costume on. He said, “Here is your candy, pour it in your mouth!” The diaper man poured the bucket of candy on Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says, Geez Louise, you are funky!). They ate it up, yum! Since the 4 trick-or-treaters all lived together, they went back to their house. They dumped all of their candy into a pot they had found on the street. Then the door opened and an angry man with 300 socks, 30 jackets, 100 shirts, and 1 hat said, “GIVE ME BACK MY POT! Or I will keep you until trick-or-treating is over. Then, I will keep you for 3 more hours unless you take the candy with the gold wrappers and deliver them to all of the houses that have Smartboards on them.” Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says “Geez Louise, you are funky!”) decided to take the gold candy to all of the Smartboard houses. When the people opened the gold candy, the candy exploded. Chocolate pumpkins flew everywhere! One chocolate pumpkin flew into a Smartboard house with a baby in it. It hit the baby’s crib and the baby cried and cried until her mom and dad ate all of the scary candy. Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says “Geez Louise, you are funky!”) went to another Smartboard house. When they delivered the gold candy it exploded with chocolate sprinkles all over the house. Then they saw another man with a diaper on his head and he went trick-or-treating at a baby’s house. They watched the baby open the door, the baby pretended to give the diaper man candy but it was really his diaper! Then the baby poured a huge bucket of blue frosting and sprinkles on the diaper man. It turned into a giant Title Wave! The diaper man was covered in blue frosting and sprinkles. He couldn’t see where he was going, he fell and hurt his bottom and said, “Ouch, that hurt!” Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says “Geez Louise, you are funky!”) decided to go to their last Smartboard house. There was a baby stuck in the Smartboard and the baby cried. The baby’s mom and dad helped him get out of the Smartboard. Along came another man with a diaper on his head, they watched him go trick-ortreating and another baby opened the door. The baby gave him one candy. The candy exploded and one giant pumpkin landed on his head. After seeing all of the babies and men with diapers on their heads, Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says “Geez Louise, you are funky!”) decided they better light all of the jack-o-lanterns in Candyland before Halloween was over. All of a sudden, they heard a tree fall down, SMACK! A ghost came out of the tree. He said, “BOO!” Captain Caterpillar, Mr. Pumpkin Head, Ladybug, and Angus (who always says “Geez Louise, you are funky!”) screamed and ran all the way home and locked the door. Angus started laughing and said, “Geez Louise, this HALLOWEEN was funky!” The End.
