AMERNET STRING QUARTET MISHA VITENSON, MARCIA LITTLEY,

MICHAEL KLOTZ, JAVIER ARIAS Quartet-in-Residence at FIU. Hailed by the national and international press, the group has garnered worldwide praise and recognition as one of today’s exceptional ensembles.

ROBERT DAVIDOVICI Recipient of several distinguished first prize honors including

the Naumburg Competition and the Carnegie Hall International American Music Competition. Mr. Davidovici has recorded as violin soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra for Cala Records and is currently a professor at FIU.

ARNOLD STEINHARDT Best known as the first violinits of the Guarneri String Quartet.

Mr. Steinhardt made his debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 14. He also has performed extensively as a soloist. Mr. Steinhardt has authored two books—Indivisible by Four: A String Quartet in Pursuit of Harmony and Violin Dreams.

ZVI ZEITLIN Has performed the entire violin repertoire with most of the great orchestras

of the world under such conductors as Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Mehta, Christoph van Dohnányi, James Levine, Pierre Boulez, and Igor Stravinsky and has recorded all of Stravinsky’s violin and piano works and the unaccompanied Elegy, as well as two CDs of works by American composers.

JAMES TOCCO First-prize recipient at the ARD International Music Composition in Munich. Performed as replacement for Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli as a guest soloist at the Vienna Festival. Mr. Tocco is an Eminent Scholar and Artist-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory and Artistic Director of the Great Lakes chamber Music Festival.

CHAUNCY PATTERSON Former violist for the Miami String Quartet for over 17 years, Mr. Patterson

attended the Curtis Institute of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Prior to joining the quartet, he held the post of Principal Viola with the Denver Symphony Orchestra and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. As a soloist, he has appeared with the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra, the Eastern Philharmonic, and the Colorado Philharmonic.

MARC JOHNSON Cellist of the renowned Vermeer Quartet for 35 years. Their recordings gathered critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic and include a version of Beethoven string quartets on the Teldec label. Mr. Johnson is frequently a presenter of master classes in the US and abroad.
