SUB-BUNG-OWF-T™ Topside Grouting Bungs are utilised during the offshore wind transition piece (TP) to monopile (MP) grouting operations.
The annular gap between the two structures is bottom filled injected with a grouting mixture.
To ensure the grouting mixture level fills to the top of the annular gap, air must be vented to prevent a pneumatic lock.
SUB-BUNG OWF-T™ Topside Grouting Bungs comprise of a snorkel guided vertically into the top annular air-pocket.
Once the grouting bungs have been activated and sealing the 03-off or 04-off grouting vent holes, the grout mixture level fills to the top of the annular air-pocket ensuring grouting joint integrity.
KEY FEATURES • Light weight & hand held • Field proven design & track record • Rapid installation, activation & removal
