Naming for four goat characters for a foreign friend’s book
栢羚 (Bak-ling) is the biggest and strongest goat. Taking 「栢」as「柏」, cypress in Chinese stating the growth of Bak-ling. 「羚」mean goats.
The second goat 瞪羚(Deng-ling), the second goat, which is elegant and silent. But she can look through everything in the world. 「瞪」mean “eyes open”.
疾羚(Ji-ling), the craziest goat. It is extreme. 「疾」means sickness and speed.
群(Qun) is the last goat, while it always wonder what it is. It tries to hide all of its own goat features. Is it a pig? a tortoise? Or a bird?「群」is taken from pigs of the bible story which Jesus heal two demon-possessed men by getting the demons into the pigs.
