Description of the device The MCR RPO-1 manual smoke ventilation pushbutton is used to manually release an alarm in smoke exhaust systems and to provide information on the status of MCR9705 or MCR0204 smoke exhaust control units. Related documents: technical approval CNBOP no. AT-403-0091/2006, certificate of conformity CNBOP no. 2328/2006, declaration of conformity no. 006/HO/2007 dated 25.01.2007. Electrical diagram the pushbutton is shown in Fig. 2. The view of the interior of the pushbutton housing is shown in Fig. 1. The pushbutton has three indicator LEDs: • red ALARM • amber DEFECT (USZKODZENIE) • greek OK LED terminals are directly and independently connected to a terminal strip which ensures the universal character of the RPO-1 pushbutton.

Assembly: The pushbutton should be placed in a location which allows easy access for users and maintenance staff (if possible along evacuation routes). Install the device on a level surface, using appropriate metal connectors selected in accordance with the substrate material. Electrical connections should be made using a lead conforming to the requirements of §187 of the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of 12.04.2002 (DZ.U. no. 75, item. 690).

Alarm release: After breaking the glass panel in the device door (CAUTION! GLASS), push the alarm button (2). The SW1 contact switch will close the alarm line. A mechanical block will keep the line closed until the block is released.

Alarm reset: Open the device housing by a special key and release the mechanical block of the button, using the lever. Replace the glass panel. The ALARM RESET (KASOWANIE ALARMU) button is used to cancel the alarm status of the control unit and to automatically close the vents after the alarm. The R1 resistor (10kΩ) connected in series with the SW2 contact switch ensures appropriate current supply, which is interpreted by the control unit as the alarm reset signal. Hold down the button for at least 1 second!
