But if you want your car tuned for optimal performance on the street or track, only a loading dyno can accurately simulate real-world driving conditions. An eddy current loading dyno can accurately simulate your vehicle’s weight and aerodynamic wind losses to produce testing conditions that are virtually identical to the conditions your car experiences in the real world.
The SUN 450 Machine is designed to diagnose problems in starting, charging, emissions, fuel and compression/power performance of most foreign and domestic vehicles. Sun Machine generates messages that indicate likely problems, probable cause and explanations, test recommendations, component repair/replacement and expected performance improvements. In its fully loaded version, SUN 450 Machine enhances service by generating vehiclespecific engine diagnostics for thousands of early and late model vehicles. SUN 450 Machine automotive diagnostic software excels at communicating these vehiclespecific results to both technician and customer alike.

Using the chassis dyno in conjunction with the Sun 450 Machine provides unsurpassed diagnostics capabilities. When is a dyno more than an accelerameter? When it has an eddy current power absorbent unit. Eddy current dynos use electromagnetic resistance to apply accurate and variable loading to the test vehicle.
