The outlook for entrepreneurship in Jamaica is
positive. Financial analysts and other parties are of
the view that the Jamaican economy is poised for
growth. The GEM data has shown that the level of
start-ups within the past year has increased by 3.3%.
The data also reveals that the rate of transition of new
businesses into established businesses has increased.
This indicates that entrepreneurial activities will play
a significant role in the achievement of Jamaica’s 3%
projected growth target in the oncoming year.
