April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month The month of April is a month dedicated to raising awareness about child abuse and neglect and to encourage individuals and communities to positively support children and families. The goal of this month is to promote children and strengthening families. It is our hope that you will be able to join us on April 2, 2014, at Avalon Manor in Merrillville, Indiana, for the Geminus Community Partners Annual Conference, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS The Impact of Domestic Violence on Children. We hope this conference helps you to glean further understanding into the world of domestic violence, how the lives of children are impacted by it, and what we can do to help the children and families that have experienced or witnessed domestic violence, neglect or abuse.
