Jasmine Pretty Principal Girl – Singer – A feisty heroine who's more than a pretty face Genie of the Ring Contrasting Character – She will be the Story Teller - Can be “street” and have a wicked sense of Humour – Has no respect for her Master (Jafar)

- Jafar Traditional Pantomime Villain with control over the Audience – Good Comedy Timing Monkey Seller Stromboli like (from our original Pinocchio)

Actor 4

Abu Cute (under 5’5”) Character Actress – Who is a great Physical Performer and the Audience will love in an instant Queen Sultana Larger than life Dame Character – (The Only Way Is Essex) – She thinks she’s incredibly attractive and has the hot’s for Jafar – Good Comedy Timing and Facial Expressions

Scene 2 Outside Cave – Open Jafar and Genie of The Ring Set up plot – TraditionalStart (look at traditional Scripts) Jafar wants to be the Most Powerful Man in the Universe and wishes that the Genie of the Ring grants this – However she doesn’t have such a great Power and Explains that only the Genie of the Lamp can grant such a wish (Whilst constantly mugging Jafar off) GOR tells Jafar that the Lamp is locked away in the cave (On Set) but only a boy called Aladdin can enter – Jafar is determined to find this boy



Scene 3

Market Place – Closed Introduce Aladdin to the Audience – He sees that a performing monkey is being treated badly by his Master so recues the monkey (Comedy Chase) Aladdin and Abu become the best of friends *Song*

Scene 4

Palace Gardens – Open – with Ground Rows Introduce Jasmine who is being forced to Marry a Prince but wants to naturally fall in love *Song* Sultana Enters (On Comedy Camel) and annoys Jasmine by demanding that she has no choice but to Marry a Prince and she can’t leave the Palace grounds for fear that a commoner would look at her – Jasmine exits in a fit of Rage Jafar Enters to Sultana’s delight – This will be a great double act (i.e. Dame Trot and Squire) – Sultana can’t keep her hands of him and he insults her - *Comedy Song* - Both Exit Aladdin and Abu peep over the wall and watch Jasmine Enter Scene – She spots the duo – Aladdin and Jasmine Instantly fall in Love out whilst Abu is insanely jealous Aladdin wants to show Jasmine “The world” so they sneak her out of the Palace through a Secret hole in the wall

Scene 5 Market Place – Closed Jasmine,

Aladdin and Abu are caught by Jafar and demands that the two Crooks are to be punished – Jasmine Exits to tell Sultana and request that they be pardoned Jafar hears Jasmine call the Boy Aladdin (on her exit) so persuades him to go to the Cave – (Old Script)

Scene 6 Outside Cave – Open (Same as Scene 2) Jafar, Aladdin and Abu – (Old Script) – Aladdin Opens the Cave but is too scared to enter (Abu has completely run away in fear) – Jafar gives Aladdin the Ring (Genie of the Ring) for protection and demands Aladdin to go inside and fetch the Lamp Aladdin enter the cave but hasn’t enough time and can’t find anything – The Cave closes and Aladdin gets locked in

Scene 7 Inside Non Magical Cave – Closed Aladdin *Song* Magic Carpet – This way, that way routine He Uses the Ring to Summon Genie of the Ring – She hasn’t enough power to free him from the Cave but Opens up the Magical Cave

Scene 8 Magical Golden Cave – Open – Lamp is Set The Genie of the Ring explains to Aladdin that only the Genie of the Lamp can help then exits Aladdin Rubs the Lamp – Genies appearance will be with use of a Cloth and the Back opening *Song* Friend like me (New backing Track) – Lady Genie Puppets x2, Wind Machines and Material/Streamers, Hankies from Aladdin’s Hat – Aladdin appears and disappears During Genie Chat Aladdin’s First Wish is to be a Prince – The Genie guides Aladdin into an Urn (Like Jim Lads Barrel) and places swords into it – The Audience will believe that Aladdin is still in it – whereas really, he is costume changing into Prince Ali Aladdin’s 2nd wish is to escape from the Cave – So the Genie Summons the Carpet and Aladdin Flies off

Scene 9 Inside the Palace – Closed Jasmine is missing Aladdin – Sultana enters explaining that time is running out and she must find a Prince to marry soon – Jafar enters and offers his “services” – Jasmine exits in disgust Sultana and Jafar double Act *Comedy Song* Jasmine enters as she has spotted something flying in the sky (Aladdin Silhouetted Puppet)

Scene 11 Titles – Closed

Aladdin thanks the Audience for all their help but realises he has one more thing to do – He Summons the Genie of the Lamp and for his 3rd/final wish Aladdin wishes the Genie to be Free *Song* Finale


Scene 10 Outside Palace – Open Prince Ali enters on the Carpet – Jasmine recognises Aladdin – They agree to get married Jafar sneaks on to overhear the conversation and also recognises Aladdin – Jafar plots an evil plan and exits Aladdin and Jasmine *Song* Aladdin exits to ask Sultana for Jasmine’s hand in marriage, leaving the Lamp with Jasmine Jafar enters (from the back of the Hall) as an old Beggar offering “New lamps in exchange for Old” Jasmine see that Aladdin Lamp looks old and filthy and agrees to swap the lamp as it would be a great gift/romantic gesture for Aladdin (hopefully the audience will be screaming at her, trying to tell her that the lamp is magical) Aladdin enters to see that Jafar has the Magical Lamp Jafar wishes to be the most powerful Genie in the Universe only to get trapped in the Lamp forever Aladdin and Jasmine – Celebrate and Abu joins in
