This is the first offering of Andie genetics out of the Reckoning bull, who, as you likely know, was Show Bull of the Year. Over the past three years, Reckoning has really made his mark, proving himself both in the ring and in breeding programs. He was an obvious match for Andie. The progeny out of Andie have been highlighted in the Clear Choice sales, alongside other sales. In 2023, a daughter sold for $17,000 to the Rumple family, later becoming Champion at the Spotlight Show and Reserve Champion Simmental at the Indiana State Fair. In 2022, two females sold to JS Simmental and Mad Luke Cattle Co. In 2021, daughters sold for $15,000 and $9,500. On the bull side, in 2022, we sold five sons, with three selected by Stan and Steven Humphries and one by Steve Logue—smart choices by both Kentucky and Indiana breeders. Andie consistently produces top-tier quality. The Andie’s, Summer’s, Cierra’s 145E, and 245C have all excelled and continue to build on their genetic merit, generation after generation. Choosing between these two Reckoning females is tough. Regardless of price, their potential far exceeds it. Congratulations to Dr. Allen and WHF on being selected for the Golden Book Award. These Andie heifers represent six generations of WHF genetics, dating back to 1999.

We apologize for the lengthy footnote, but we are incredibly proud and excited about the impact Andie has had on our program. As many already know, we added WHF Delilah to our donor battery and are proud to own her with our partners, Jered Werning Cattle Co. and Wayward Hill Farm. Therefore, it was only logical for us to flush Andie to her son, Point Proven. The Point Proven bull has certainly lived up to his name. He’s part of the Select Sires battery, and in his first calf crop, he produced two heifers that sold for over $100,000 each. These two heifers are exceptionally constructed from the ground up, showcasing deep bodies and elegant fronts, and they have outstanding show potential. We think highly of these four direct daughters of Andie, which is why we are selling three of the four and will take the last one standing home.

Woodford has been well received behind the backdrop, having been the champion % bull at the North American and other major shows. The Sugar progeny in our sale have commanded $30,000, $24,000, $14,000, $7500, $6500, $6500 and $5000. Mark Mueller bred a top bull in Stockman and you see more of his progeny in Milan, Indiana. L4B has more than stars in her future; she is a female that checks all the boxes in a breeding program. This female boasts solid EPD’s across the board and in the top 15% for WW and YW.
The True Love is a beast of a cow and a beauty to boot. This is the second time we’ve offered genetics from the True Love donor, who was the 2020 National Classic Reserve Champion female. F789 exhibits everything you’d want to see in a cow: a powerful, square hip; a soft middle; big feet and legs; and she’s sound on the ground and incredibly attractive. Last year, one was purchased by longtime customer TJ Sporleder, and another by Travis Miller. Now we have four to choose from, and they all offer a big opportunity. The main difference is that three are black and one is red—gotta love the variety! Many will appreciate the red one for her stoutness while maintaining elegance through her front end. They truly are the stars of the family. These four will make you scratch your head in wonder. A younger heifer born in April, Elle is thin-necked and classy, bringing plenty of style. Elle’s dam goes back to the Ethel cow family and always seems to have a female in the sale. She will definitely catch your attention. Oh, and I almost forgot—she’s sired by the champion, Woodford.
I would be lying if I said it was an easy decision to let this one go, but we want to offer our best! This was our 9 year old’s first year in 4-H and “Laney” (as we call her) was her show heifer for the spring and summer. With her having been shown already, the work is all done here! She is a female that packs a punch of power and mass that is hard to match. She is super sound at the ground, draws an eye when she’s on the move, while never giving you a bad look either!
