Let`s think about if we replace partitions with fabrics. Sometihing nice will happen to our life. Spaces made from fabrics react to our move and force exibly, and it trancemit our presence or voice softly like curtain. We can hang things to live on it so we don`t need to think about furnitures. Each room is composed of wooden box-frames. Fabrics are enforced tention and shape tube which have beautiful curve. The owner loves to have own cafÊ. Therefore, I put wooden panels as a table or bench on the largest room. Guests can get togather and have dishes at the space. Also, the other space have the same panel on each space. Users can take it in the same way. I got insperation of the fabric space from cotton grobe. When I observe the material, I found that it has not only its frexibility, but also the ability to contain things such as, clothes and tools. Every fabrics has elements of how to knit or its density. We can hang them with hook.

Community gallary is not for masterpieces like the Mona Lisa or the Gogh's Sunowers but for kids' or parents' smiles
2009 2010 2011 2012
I propose a new community art galary where kids , students and neighborhoods come at ease. In this galery, they can bring and exhibit their own works and promote comunication among them. I would like them to guess that something exciting always happens here.

COMMUNITY GALERY RELATED PEOPLE STUDENTS

This area is called Shitamachi area and it is bout 1 hour of the center of Tokyo Station. Most area has been modernized but citizenzs keep their tradition. Shrine festival is one of them. (fig 1) This area has classic style of pathes and many tiny buildings so these factors make small but cozy spaces. (fig2,3) In addition, there are 10 schools with in 1.3 km radius of this subject`s site. (fig4) As a result, this area is younger than other suburb areas. Usual Japanese schools let students make many kinds o f works, such as Chinese characrer carigraphy, crafting or reserch presentation board.(fig 5,6,7) I propose that we should build a galery which people can meet to see the students works. The students exhibit their works and they invite their family, friends or acquaintance.

COMPOSITION
There is a small station near the station, and two different angled roads are in front of the site. Therefore, I decide the shape of plan from the angles in order to fit in the environment around here and to be accepted from users easily.

C
An old man comes to the galery. He have a concert with his friends at the center of the roads. They seems an usual crossroads but they can be a small concert hall because buildings lean and shape like wrapping the space.
The concert was succeeded. He goes to the upstairs in order to see his grand daughter's works at her art class. She got a prize and her work is exhibitted in the builging H.
Finally, he takes a brake at the roof park on building and looks back today's concert. He thinks what should he say to prase his grand daughter.

A Story Board of A Family of Parents and Two Kids
A
The family comes to the galery by bicycle in order to see kids' works at his elementary school. They stops the bicycles on a parking lot at building I.
B
They the works in the building F nearby a mini music concert by citizens.
C
The kids' interest is already toward it. The parents like to take a brake because they got tired a little.
After that, the kids watch the concert and ďŹ nally begin to play tag in the narrow road while the parents have a tea time close to the kids. The roads are the best playing because these buildings hide them.

What is spending luxury time like in modern cities? We have several answers to the qestion, such as having a delicious dinner, listening to the beautiful music and so on. However, there is the most easy and popular way that we do every day: taking a bath. This spa is a special place where only VIP can enter. I considerd that what is city's special time which is dierent from taking Onsen in countryside. I propose this spa which provides an enjoyment as if guests explore a cave and an relaxing time viwing the blue sky.

north-south direction central wall elevation
The unique shape of the central wall can obstruct the guests eyes from outside of the changing room. In addition, the shape at upper part scrubble steam from hot swiming pool in under oor. That exites guests before they enter and promote new member to take the spa.
the symbol of Tokyo The wall also has symbolism.
The surface of the central wall is made of Cor-Ten steel because it has to be protected from hot water. Also, I chose the material because of its unique color. I want the wall to be the symbol to come to the spa for outside guests, and it also the symbol as the inside guests go down to the hot pool.

Some facade of buildings need to play as a important role as their internal functions. Especially, pillar and posts settle the condition of a building. By contraries, we can expand the possibility of the showroom&oďŹƒce building if we change design of pillar and beam a little.
SITE: Kyoubasi, Ginza, Tokyo Tokyo
Ginza Shibuya
Kyobasi area is at the end of Ginza which has world's famous shopping streets. It has many fragship boutique. On the other hand, the street also has many cultural buildings like galery or bar. In addition, the main street is opened on Sundays or hollydays so the street and neighbor buildings behave as if they are one huge architecture. Therefore, the facade of buildings in Ginza have a great value.

EXISTING BUILDING
This subject is that we rebuild the existing buildings in order to improve its design. The building is a showroom of a plumping products company. However, we can not be fascinated from it because it is strongly closed. Also, we can not know which floor we are because of the reason. We just see boxes of campany's contents.
CONTEXT
The site is the end of the main street so we can see the site between the buildings in front of both side of the main street so the site can appeal its own exsistance. However, it is difficult to appeal guests at the foot of it beceuse a highway cut off the space of the street. Therefore, I thought the new building needs well designed facade and another function.
DIAGRAM
Firstly, it is given a character to the volume. I put two voids into lower and higher levels. As a result, It can provide spaces as rest space at lower voids and main street viewing space at higher space.
Secondly , I do not adopt horizontal and verticalfacade but adopt tryangle-truss design and glass facade. As a result, the building can appeal its existance and guests in it can know where they are because of various pitches of trass in each floor.

Tokyo Sta.
Shibaura Sta.
Tokyo doesn't sleep. There are millions of young people in there. They have a large amount of engergy and they sometimes perform impertient behaviors. That is natural because they are young. They are refugees of energy.
The site is loceted at Shibaura, Tokyo where is one of the largest bayarea in Japan, and the erea never sleep. The loop road is legal because of requiring demands of port's distribution. Therefore , the inside of the loop is already noisy. I think it is suitable place for my work.
However, what will happen when we provide an suitable place to them? Most Japanese students belong to sports club. They usually practice well after their classes but they have to go home by around 6 pm. If they have another home which is close to their training ďŹ eld, they can practice more than now. Also, young workers wants to do sports relevant amount of exercise keeps them tealthy and creative.
The site has powerful centrality . Therefore, my works can possess strong symbolism.
