LALIQUE CAR MASCOTS HOOD ORNAMENTS of the Art Deco period of which included many birds, fish & animals, some of which were equine influenced as the examples that we offer here for sale. The first in a series of horse themed Bouchons de Radiateur was 'Cinq Chevaux' which was produced in 1925 on the order of André Citröen. Following this were two styles of 'Longchamp' that came along in 1929 and soon another named 'Epsom', probably due to the fact that René Lalique studied in England and may have gone to that particular racecourse, sorry not Ascot! Another that may be of interest to that other sporting life is 'Lévrier', depicting the Greyhound in full stride! To see these and many others that we have in stock please send for our full colour brochure covering most of the range produced during the inter-war period by sending a s.a.e. to us at: The Lalique Gallery at the White Lion Garage, Clarendon Place, Kemp Town, Brighton, Sussex, BN2 1JA www.laliquemascots.co.uk E-mail: laliquemascots@virginmedia.com Phone: 01273 622722 or 07890 836734 For your interest & pleasure we would like to invite you to view them in London for a special exhibition 'Unique Lalique Mascots' www.brmmbrmm.com/lbcc.bb commemorating the 151st anniversary of René Jules Lalique's birth.
