AIRBORNE LASER SCANNING ALMI Technology

LiteMapper 7800VQ

The ALMI technology has been developed by Aeroscout GmbH for professional 3D airborne laser scanning (lidar) based on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). It allows continuously monitored, accuracy controlled, vibration-isolated, and time-synchronized airborne laser scanning from the UAV system.

Designed as a rugged but also compact and lightweight system, the IGI LiteMapper can be used in a variety of aircraft, from large airplanes and helicopters to ultra-light airplanes and gyroplanes or even remote piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). All systems are installed on vibration damped platforms or in stabilized mounts.

VQ-880-GII / VQ-880-G

VQ-840-G

The VQ-880-GII / VQ-880-GH carries out laser range measurements for high resolution surveying of underwater topography with a narrow, visible green laser beam, emitted from a powerful pulsed laser source. Subject to clarity, at this particular wavelength the laser beam penetrates water enabling measurement of submerged targets.

The new RIEGL VQ-840-G is a fully integrated compact airborne laser scanner for combined hydrographic and topographic surveying. The system is offered with an integrated and factory-calibrated GNSS/ IMU system and can be complemented with an optional camera or IR rangefinder. The VQ-840-G is a compact and lightweight LiDAR system to be installed on various platforms including UAVs.

ALTM Galaxy PRIME

Eclipse: Autonomous Mapping System

The new Galaxy PRIME is the next evolution of the popular Galaxy wide-area/corridor lidar mapping platform that incudes the advanced and unique PulseTRAK and SwathTRAK productivity feature sets. An innovative “boost mode increases range performance, and an expanded range of motion for the dynamic FOV used by SwathTRAK ensures that the Galaxy PRIME is quite simply the most versatile, highest-performing, and most productive sensor on the market.

MRS900S

Echologger DS900

Super light mini scanning sonar MRS900S. MRS900S is made of fully plastic materials, weighing only 380g (140g in water). There is no metallic part exposed to water, so no risk of corrosion. This ultra compact super-light device is optimally designed for Navigation of Underwater Vehicles (ROVs or AUVs) in shallow water up to 100m depth.

This unique device is one of the most powerful and practical sonar systems in the market for the savvy divers. It is a hand-held underwater imaging system that gives high-resolution expressions. Every diver can make use of this dynamic product to enjoy visibility in dark and turbid environments for their tasks such as search & rescue (SAR), structure monitoring or obstacle avoidance. Professional bodies such as US Navy have commended the sublime nature of this fascinating device.

Clariscan

M3 Sonar - 4000 m

Clariscan combines Kongsberg Mesotech's wide bandwidth composite transducer technology with a patented acoustic lens to provide exceptional image quality. Previous versions of domed sonar introduced beam defocusing in two conditions, warm & shallow and cold & deep. The beam defocusing effect becomes more extreme in warm shallow water as temperature increases and more extreme in cold deep water as depth increases.

The Kongsberg Mesotech M3 Sonar is a multibeam system with both imaging and profiling capabilites. The M3 Sonar provides high-resolution and easy to interpret images by combining the rapid refresh rate of a conventional multibeam sonar with image quality comparable to a single-beam sonar.

PERSEO GTV ROV “Observer Class for visual and instrumental inspections. The depth rating is 300m and it is possible to add a 18kg payload. The main camera is fitted inside the electronic POD protected by an hemispherical PMMS high transparancy dome.

PEGASO

ROV with an operating depth of 1500m. The Modular Chassis is high impact resistant and the ROV includes 2 vertical and 4 vectored thrusters. All chassis members can be easily replaced and any additional equipment may be bolted directly onto it.

TankBUG ROV for light work, visual and instrumental inspection, observation, search and survey. The depth rating is 600 m free-flight or 1500 m with TMS. The payload is adjustable between 40kg and 60kg.

The TankBUG evolved from the HullBUG product line and is adapted to the water tank cleaning market, specifically for reasons of safety. Confined space operations can be risky and we saw a need for a viable product that would reduce human risk in the tank cleaning market.

HullBUG

vLBV

The HullBUG System is a semi-autonomous underwater vehicle designed to crawl on ship hulls or other underwater structures and "proactively groom" the surface. Developed by SeaRobotics and funded by ONR, this highly automated proactive grooming (or light cleaning) process will revolutionize hull maintenance, allowing ship hulls to remain in a clean state at all times.

The Teledyne vLB represents an evolution in small, capable, vectored MiniROV systems. Four powerful 100 mm (4 in) horizontal thrusters, arranged in a vectored format, offer nearly equal horizontal thrust in all 360-degrees of flight. The horizontal thrusters can be manually adjusted to bias thrust in the forward direction for extreme pulling power.

Subsonus

Nexus 2 USBL

Subsonus is a next generation USBL underwater acoustic positioning system that provides high accuracy position, velocity and heading at depths of up to 1000 metres. The system features an industry leading calibrated hydrophone array combined with an internal tightly coupled INS, all packed into a miniature titanium enclosure small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

This is a high performance USBL system. It is the next generation of advanced USBL positioning and tracking system that incorporates Sigma 2 Spread Spectrum technology to provide a secure acoustic link. By incorporating AAE Sigma 2 technology the wide bandwidth transmissions reduce its susceptibility to interference and enables precise, reliable positioning over an extended operational range.

Nexus Lite USBL

SeaTrac X150+X110 | Micro-USBL System

Nexus Lite is an Ultra Short Baseline (USBL) underwater positioning and tracking system centred on a multi-element, single transducer that transmits and receives acoustic signals to dynamic subsea targets from which range, bearing and depth information can be determined.

Multi-purpose 'ultra-short base line' acoustic transponder system including X150 USBL beacon and X010 beacon. Broadband spread spectrum signalling scheme capable of simultaneous asset positions tracking and bi-directional data exchange. Can be used in conjunction with up to 14 other SeaTrac beacons. X110 beacon for small to medium ROV, AUV or Diver deployment down to a depth of 2000m.

SeaTrac X150+X010 Micro-USBL System

Broadband Acoustic Tracking System (BATS)

Multi-purpose 'ultra-short base line' acoustic transponder system including X150 USBL beacon and X010 beacon. Broadband spread spectrum signalling scheme capable of simultaneous asset positions tracking and bi-directional data exchange. Can be used in conjunction with up to 14 other SeaTrac beacons. X010 beacon for small ROV, AUV or Diver deployment down to a depth of 300m.

The BATS System consists of a Signal Interface Module housed in a standard (3.5”) rack mount chassis (19”). It can be configured for a desktop application with a PC or laptop running the ORE Trackman Windows software or coupled with a standard (3.5”) rack mount PC and standard (3.5”) rack mount Keyboard/Display.The use of Broadband Acoustic Technology provides exceptional range and tracking performance.

USBLS AND SSBLS S2C R 18/34 USBL S2CR 18/34 USBL with a horizontally omnidirectional transducer beam pattern is a universal tool for tracking and communication in reverberant shallow waters, providing data transfer rates up to 13,9 kbit/s over a 3500 m range.

GAPS Gaps is a high-performance USBL positioning and communication system dedicated to subsea assets localization. Combining a USBL antenna and a Fiber-Optic based INS in the same housing it does not require on-the-field calibration. Advanced acoustic techniques including wideband signals ensure maximum performance in the most challenging conditions.

µPAP 201-2

HiPAP 502

The μPAP Precision Acoustic Positioning system operates in SSBL mode (LBL is also possible) where it measures the distance and direction to subsea transponders and computes a 3D position in local coordinates or in geographical coordinates. It offers high accuracy but is smaller, more compact and easier to install on a vessel or other surface unit than larger acoustic positioning systems.

The SSBL principle has the obvious advantage that it only requires installation of one hull mounted transducer and one subsea transponder to establish a three-dimensional position of the transponder. An SSBL system is measuring the horizontal and vertical angles together with the range to the transponder. An error in the angle measurement causes the position error to be a function of the range to the transponder.

Lodestar GyroUSBL 5000

SUB-BOTTOM PROFILERS Dura-Spark UHD

GraviProbe 2.0

The Dura-Spark UHD has been designed to provide a stable, repeatable sound source for sub-bottom geophysical surveys. The long life, durable electrodes produce a consistent pulse signature and keep operational maintenance to a minimum. This provides increased survey efficiency and equipment reliability as the sparker tips rarely need replacement.

The GraviProbe is a free fall impact instrument and sediment profiler, analyzing the underwater sediment layers during intrusion. Under its own weight it accelerates and penetrates fluid and consolidated mud layers. The geotechnical and density conditions of the soil layers are determining the probe’s dynamical behavior.

TRANSDUCERS (ACOUSTIC) M194 Broadband 160260kHz Transducer

SS549 200kHz Stainless Steel Transducer

This broadband 200 kHz transducer has a Q of 2 and very good sensitivity. It enables users to perform accurate surveys in shallow-water with high resolution. This transducer can also be “chirped” with a long pulse over a wide-frequency band. Users with adjustablefrequency echosounders will be able to regulate the operating frequency and tailor the beamwidth to specific survey conditions.

The SS549 is designed for shallow water and coastal survey applications where high frequency and narrow Beamwidth are required. The narrow 3° beam and low side lobes result in high precision survey. The stainless steel housing with threaded stem makes this model easy to mount.

Subbottom Profiling Transducers

Simrad 38-7 The 38-7 is a large, single-beam transducer incorporating 88 Tonpilz elements. It has a relatively narrow beam with substantial range capability.

Falmouth Scientific designs and manufactures a variety of piezo electric transducers and arrays. Our transducer products range from low cost pinger, transponder and flow meter transducers to high power line arrays and deep water tonpilz projectors for our side scan sonar and sub-bottom profiling systems. Custom transducers can also be supplied to meet specific project requirements.

TC 2024 General purpose 200kHz echosounder transducer for shallow water applications: 0-100m The TC2024 is ideal for navigation, hydrographic echosounding in shallow waters, and high resolution distance measurements. For outboard mounting, Teledyne RESON steel housing mounts are available. The standard housing of the TC2024 is also compatible with Teledyne ATLAS Hydrographic SW 6014 mounts.

Store, Process and Visualize Large Datasets in Real-time Mapping Cloud Today’s workflow is very much structured around collecting data offshore and performing processing and analysis of this data once the vessel is docked to shore. This imposes limitations with respect to collection and use of resources in general. To solve this, Kongsberg – a provider of technical products and services to collect various types of data to map the seafloor – has introduced a cloud-based platform called Kognifai. The aim of this open digital ecosystem is to level the playing field so that everyone can participate – customers, partners, independent software vendors (ISVs), industry clusters and entrepreneurs – to ensure the best possible analysis of collected data. The platform is open to everyone who wants to contribute and transform the industry through digitalization. Kognifai enables sonar data collected with multibeam echosounders and other sensor systems to be stored and managed in a secure environment. By Terje Haga Pedersen, Kongsberg Maritime Subsea MPC, Norway

Kongsberg Maritime’s product portfolio is significant and includes amongst other things underwater communication, positioning, surveillance, autonomous vehicles (e.g. Hugin, Munin and Remus), single and multibeam echosounders, sonars, sidescan and subbottom profilers. Kongsberg Maritime’s multibeam echosounders are capable of doing surveys to the highest standards at all ocean depths, from 0.5m to full ocean depth (extending to 11,000 metres). These multibeam echosounders can produce large datasets including seafloor, water-column and seabed image (‘sidescan’) measurements. The software that comes with the multibeam echosounders has been developed over the years in line with increasing demands for accuracy, user friendliness, and integration across platforms and organizations. Today, the demand for truly distributed access to data is increasing. Clients, customers, academia and public services all want easy access to data in near real time from any geographical location. The data produced by multibeam echosounders is thus being used in many different business areas besides the traditional hydrographic map. The data quality has reached a
