“ Being a Hoya means I am

connected to a global network of alumni who want to pay it forward and help other Hoyas be successful. While it takes time, effort, and patience, the relationships I built were made possible with the opportunities the Georgetown brand offered.” David Toledo (B’19) Support Specialist, Tech, Google

McDonough’s impressive offering “ Georgetown of study abroad programs and exposure to international business proved invaluable to my career search. I spent a summer at Oxford studying international finance and strategic management and, as part of the program, visited the London offices of global businesses. One of these visits constituted my first exposure to investment banking, which I ultimately selected as my career. Furthermore, my Global Business Experience class provided a unique consulting experience to discuss in interviews.

McDonough does a great job preparing “ Georgetown students for careers after graduation. The Undergraduate

Career Development Center guided me in my search, reviewed my cover letters and resume, and coached me before interviews. Also, the school provided unique opportunities that helped in my career search. I pitched my business idea in two different pitch competitions, wrote and published a book through the entrepreneurship program, and took a class where I consulted for a European company and traveled abroad to deliver my final presentation to the client.
