2 whole weeks Starting point and research.
Starting point by brief was a disaster in Moscow, so people have to leave the city for a two weeks and i have to research what people needs, wants, where they will sleep, entertain e.t.c. I start with a boxes, storing systems, inneded persons, IKEA, and Maslows ‘ierarchy of needs’.
2 whole weeks Modelling and development.
Using cardboard i start experiment with a form of a shelter - what i want to create. And found some great solutions. And using Google SketchUp i visuailise simple model in context with a woman. it helps me understand where to put bed and a shower.
2 whole weeks Modeling and the outcome.
This is a shelter which made of lightweiht materials. It includes only 3 part: main part, a wall, and a window. Bed is included. The main idea is to create less then 90째 between wall and a floor to make gravity helps to hold a construction. All 3 parts is easy holds in flat piece, here i used IKEA experience. That will help to transport lots of these shelters to areas where people will need them
