Kids’ University - Macon Kids’ University is a recreational day camp with just the right mixture of recreational activities and academically oriented instruction to produce a fun summer learning environment for children ages 6-9. Campers will enjoy sports, games and the computer lab while delving into a wide variety of academic subjects. Each week has its own special theme which instructors, guest speakers and visitors bring to life through disciplines such as art, computers, drama, music, writing, science, math, history and geography. Planned activities for each theme will be age appropriate. Kids’ University is a great way to keep your child physically and mentally fit over the summer. Kids’ University staff members are selected for their experience and desire to work with children. Classes are held in classrooms in the Center for Graduate and Professional Learning, all of which are air conditioned. Off-campus locations require walking and other outdoor physical activities. Children should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Kids’ University will provide an afternoon snack with unlimited punch and fresh water. Also, students will receive a Kids’ University souvenir for each week of attendance. Children should bring their own sack lunch and additional snacks, if desired. Register for one week, all 10 weeks or any combination of weeks. Registration is on a first-paid, first-enrolled basis.
