Relevant Experience: Chalk H’away - Managing Director (September 2015 - May 2016)
During my final year at University, I was required to establish and run a real start up business. From a group of six students I was appointed Managing Director, as a result of my previous experience as a Project Manager in an earlier Events Management module. Leading the group required me to oversee the collaborative work, pro-actively ensuring all elements were synchronised efficiently. I also took on the role of Secretary and Finance Director. I was able to experience first hand the reality of managing a business, resolving and overcoming issues to achieve success.
Accent Clothing - Online Marketing and Photography Assistant (June - September 2015) I was employed as Marketing and Photography Intern at Accent Clothing, this role allowed me to transform my skills into experience. My ability to efficiently retain information, presented the opportunity to occasionally fill in for the house photographer. I assisted in directing shoots, editing content, styling and organising the set. Marketing duties included generating relevant content for the website, writing press releases and events management.
Northumbria Graduate Fashion Week 2014 I was elected to assist the events management team. This involved: relying upon my personable skills to liaise with the press, assisting the guests, organising the room spaces, and overseeing the smooth running of the event.
Newcastle Fashion Week 2014 I was selected to work at Newcastle Fashion Week 2014 as a Volunteer. This allowed me to gain valuable experience within the industry, working behind the scenes on catwalks, styling and attending to the models, clients and event ambassador, Julien McDonald. It highlighted my natural ability to adapt myself in social situations in order to communicate with others in the most effective way.
Newcastle Physiotherapy - Receptionist (September 2014-September 2015)
Select Fashion Group - Retail Shop Assistant (August 2011 -April 2012)
Graphic Design Experience I have shadowed at a Graphic Designers. I was able to successfully reproduce the design of a website, increasing my Photoshop and InDesign skills.
