Georgiy Balyuk

Georgiy Balyuk, born in Ukraine on July 22, 1999, relocated to the United States at three years old, settling in the suburbs north of Chicago. He now resides in Canton, Georgia, and is a dedicated software engineer at State Farm, where he is soon to mark his second year in mid-2025. His role at the company aligns with his interests in cloud scaling technologies, artificial intelligence, and neural networks, showcasing his commitment to advancing in these areas. He is furthering his education at DePaul University in Chicago, pursuing a Master’s in software development. He has been an exemplary student, consistently making the Dean's Board, with plans to complete his program in the fall of 2025. Before joining State Farm, Georgiy Balyuk worked at Fiserv Inc. in Alpharetta, Georgia, from August 2021 to April 2023. In this role, he specialized in developing scalable Java/Spring applications within a micro-service architecture, adhering to best coding practices in a CI/CD environment. His work focused on automation, managing high-scale pipelines, and enabling rapid cloud deployments. Since April 2023, he has been engaged at State Farm in Sandy Springs, Georgia. His job involves designing and implementing advanced AWS architecture solutions, which improve performance and scalability. He has developed an internal application monitoring platform that enhances system reliability and optimizes operational workflows. He actively collaborates with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of cloud-based solutions, effectively reducing costs and increasing efficiency. Georgiy is also Oracle Java SE 8 certified, demonstrating his deep understanding of Java programming, including object-oriented principles, core syntax, and essential APIs such as collections and streams. This certification highlights his abilities in modular application management, exception handling, and functional programming, which are vital to his development role.
