Robin Nourie Robin’s enthusiasm each day can’t be beat! Walking into her classes, we are always greeted with her great grin and a fun classs. Her moment of silence before teaching calms us down and help us learn better. We especially enjoy the singing and dancing and fun games. We will miss her as a French teacher, but also as a friend who is always there to help us. Not only does Robin speak Francais, she can speak English and teach it as well. What a talent! Speaking of talent, Robin we will miss your dancing and joie de vivre!. We wish you well and are so lucky that now you will be our teacher in Upper School too !

Fred Brown
Going to Latin class or the Admission Office was always something to look forward to, no matter what kind of mood we were in. Picking up a visitor is always a highlight because Fred is there. That little squirrel of a mustache will never be forgotten. His two rules are (1) Don’t be a jerk and (2) don’t draw male anatomical parts ( for lack of a more specific word) on other people’s things! His exceptional accordion, piano, Latin, Greek, improv, acting and tissue throwing skills will always be remembered. When you are with Fred, it’s party time. Fred, wherever you end up (hopefully it will be back at GFS) they are most lucky to have you!
Alyssa Crowley
Alyssa’s happy presence in June Gondi’s classroom was one that shown through every single day. Her continual support of the students is much appreciated. We will always remember the times we spent talking about Harry Potter and wedding dresses. Her rivalries over hockey teams with Jeff never failed to put a smile on our faces and we will always remember her passion for the Rangers. Go Flyers! Seriously we had fun putting up posters representing our teams. Alyssa was amazing at making sure everything went smoothly. Her three years spent at GFS were really memorable… We all enjoyed her company as she cheered us on. We will miss her in the Middle School Adam Hotek and wish her good luck in her next adventure. Adam Hotek always came into class with a bright smile and bubbly attitude. We will miss his extensive knowledge of the “newest fads” and especially his undying love for Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. We have all been inspired by his wise words and skilled teaching habits. He has taught us so much throughout all his many years as an excellent teacher. Adam will be greatly missed in the middle school.
Danielle Garrett
Danielle has been working at GFS for many years. She teaches not only the Middle School Orchestra, but the Upper School Orchestra as well. Her constant dedication to expanding our musical knowledge has helped all of her students to become the musicians that they are today. Her enthusiasm towards teaching us never failed to make us excited for Orchestra every Monday and Thursday. She always chooses repertoire that is fun, challenging and enlightening in the field of music. Despite how stuffy and hot room 314 is, Danielle always brought a smile to all of her students” faces. She will be missed greatly, and we will forever remember what she has given to the GFS community.
It’s hard to believe that Ken Aldridge is leaving Germantown Friends. He has been part of our school in many different ways, starting 17 years ago as an amazing chemistry teacher. Now he is the Prinicipal, making sure we carry out the Quaker testimonies & offering guidance. We can always count on Ken to wear his namesake sweater vests at least once a week . We also wait to see which stylish tie he has picked out for that day. We love watching him lead the faculty student basketball game every year. When we are walking by his office and hear his music playing it brings a smile to our faces. We will miss Ken’s wonderful sense of humor that he brings to us every day. Even though being sent to the principal’s office is never a good thing, Ken never makes you feel bad about yourself and teaches you the way to handle the situation in the future. We miss you Ken and we love you! “Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!”
