Gestuz a/W 2010 retains a characteristically elegant art/punk look inspired by famous rock and fashion icons. karen o, lead singer in the indie rock band yeah, yeah, yeahs, Georgia may jagger, photo model and daughter of legendary jerry Hall and mick jagger, and dree Hemmingway, ballerina, model and actress, have all inspired the design team behind the a/W 2010 collection. the depth of the collection is expressed in a warm subtle colour palette ranging from navy blue, berry red, dark powder, broken white and dusty lavender to shades of grey and black. the choice of materials emphasises an exclusive, consistent look – washed silks, woollen fabric with rough surface and structure, heavy and distinctive hand knitted styles and characteristic leather. soft drapes and pure tight silhouettes dominate the collection where exclusive focus is on the shoulders, waist and the long lines of the body. the collection also features pearls which are used for decoration and incorporated into the fabrics. focus has been given to details such as zippers, sequinces and braids. metal colours such as antique silver and dull gold lend the collection a touch of glamour and extravagance. the Gestuz a/W 2010 campaign universe is built around a dark international nightclub.
