Welcome to Gesu School Welcome to our 26th Annual Symposium on Education. As a pioneer in urban education, Gesu School is constantly focused on identifying new ways to better serve our students, while remaining committed to sharing key learnings and supporting the hard work and creativity of educators.
Gesu School, an independent Catholic school located in North Philadelphia, is recognized as a national model for urban education. Gesu provides holistic education to 400 children in grades Pre-K through 8. Inspired by the Jesuit and IHM traditions of social justice, faith, creative hope, and love, Gesu School’s mission is to help students to transcend all forms of poverty by providing a comprehensive, innovative education. We empower our students to develop their strengths, overcome challenges, and become positive, engaged members of the community and the world. Justin Shaifer Keynote Speaker Justin Shaifer is an award-winning TV Host and Producer who is at the forefront of transforming science and tech education. Justin is a visionary leader in media, science, and technology. He was recently named a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Education Nominee. As the founder of Fascinate Media, Justin is revolutionizing the way students learn by creating immersive educational experiences and content using 3D VFX, Virtual Production, and Generative AI. His goal is to inspire young people to embrace their inner nerd and pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math, regardless of their surroundings.
