how’s the market? The market stayed steady in August as expected with many closings happening before school started and throughout the remainder of the month. Showings also remain steady year over year, although earlier in the year, we did see more showings of homes. The one thing that I feel is important right now is that home buyers either want an updated home or want a full project. Just remember that if the home is “tired” then it will not get maximum value. Homes that are “tired” typically need updated paint, flooring, and countertops. If you don’t have the investment to add those items, then you need to price the home accordingly.
