1851 The first gold rush began in Australia which boosted Australian economy.3

1890 - 1918 The original St. Leonards Station was built in 1890. World War I was outbroken and railway was highly demanded for delivery materials.3

1945 World War II outbroke and Australia’s economy was flourished as employment rate and industrial demand was raised due to war supply.3

1975 Massive number of immigration started to come over after the war and boost residential demand around Crows Nest.3

2000 2000 Sydney Olympic was hosted in Sydney and increase in tourism demands improved Australian economy. Also, Crows Nest was started to develop as it is closed to Sydney City CBD.3

2019 Crows Nest Station was planned to be built by 2024 which will increase the demand of residential and entertainments3

From our research on Crows Nest ’s histor y, we noticed that based on historical trends, it was highly likely that Crows Nest and our site would become hyper-urbanised in the near future. As such, we decided to have a program which would allow us to combat this through the preser vation of nature. This program would be a seedbank.

seeds are preserved in a secure seedbank, away from the new urban environment.

Plants are allowed to grow in a carefully controlled environment, in a preparation for future release.

Having adapted to the new urban environment, plants are allowed to grow almost freely in garden beds.

The adapted seeds are free to spread throughout Sydney, aided by the station locate on-site.
