How to Make Apple Pie
Let your student dictate to you how she would make an apple pie. Record on the pages. Cut out pages. Stack together and staple at the top where indicated.

How Many Apple Seeds?
Cut out the apples attach them to the cover using a fastener. Have your child count by two’s to find out how many seeds are in each apple. A blank apple is provided for you to customize as you see fit for your child or it may be used to teach the concept of “0”.
Bees move pollen from one flower to another; they carry it on their fuzzy legs. This allows the flowers to make seeds, What Comes from Seeds? Cut shape out as one piece. Fold flaps in using the dotted lines as your guide. Tuck the last flap under so that book will stay closed. Cut out the words and discuss with your student. Can your student think of anything that comes from seeds? Let him paste the information in the center. Let him paste the fruit, flower, and tree and the three petals.
Color the apples on each strip in patterns. Cut out the strips and paste the correct apple which comes next in the pattern. Store in the pocket provided.
Fold Under and paste.
Cut out the Apple Pattern Strips pocket. Fold it in thirds and paste top flap over bottom flap. Fold side flap back and paste. Store the pattern strips in this pocket.

Have your child interview family members about what color of apple is their favorite kind of apple. The child should paste 1 apple in the appropriate square for each family member that likes that kind of apple. Glue the banner to the top of the graph. If you have apple stickers on hand, you could use those instead of cutting/pasting the apples provided.

Cut out shapes. Let your student divide the apples by drawing lines (example: for half, he should draw a line between the two groups of four. Stack pages with cover on top and staple on the left side or at the bottom.
