GENERAL INFORMATION REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, JANUARY 29 All activities will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Most of our activities have limited enrollment, so register early! There are 2 easy ways for you to enroll: 1. Register online. Go to www.oconeecounty.com/ocprd then click “Registration,” or 2. Come by Oconee Veterans Park, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. PAYMENT Payee will be responsible for paying debit/credit card convenience fees. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express payments. You may also pay by check or money order. Cash not accepted. OUT OF COUNTY Out of County residents pay an additional $20 per participant, per program. REFUND POLICY No refunds or credits will be granted unless requested at least 5 days (Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) before the session, program draft or league begins. If request is made 5 days prior to the start date, you will have two options: (1) Receive an immediate credit for the full amount valid for 12 months or (2) Receive a refund, minus a 25% administration fee. A pro-rated credit may be issued in the event an activity cannot be completed due to a documented medical problem. Registration convenience fees are non-refundable.
INCLEMENT WEATHER/RAIN OUT POLICY Cancellations due to weather on weeknights will generally not be made until 4 p.m. We will make every reasonable effort to contact head coaches/ team managers with cancellation information and coaches/team managers will contact parents/players. Contact our Inclement Weather Hotline by dialing 706-769-2965 for current cancellations due to inclement weather conditions.
SECURITY POLICY Your payment and personal information is safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address so that it cannot be read over the Internet. REGISTRATION PROCESS We are pleased to offer our residents a way to register and pay for programs using CommunityPass, our online registration service. You can register for programs 24/7 on a secure site. Registration will still be available in house during office hours at Oconee Veterans Park and Herman C. Michael Park. STEP 1 Go to https://register.communitypass.net/OconeeCounty. STEP 2 Click on “Create an Account for Your Family Now!” Complete the family account form by filling in your information and clicking on “continue” until you finish your account setup. Your family account is now set up. Clicking “finish” will return you to the Community–Pass homepage. Once your account is created you will receive an email that contains your login information. Be sure to keep this email in a safe place so that you can continue to enjoy convenience of online registration. STEP 3 Sign into your account and click “Register Now” and follow instructions. A fun-focused league with an emphasis on participants creating a positive relationship between themselves and the game of soccer! Each team will have one weekday and one Saturday activity (practice or game). Play 4v4 soccer to ensure each participant gets as many touches on the ball as they possibly can, developing fundamental skills with each touch! Score is not kept, and coaches serve as referees to give the players a non-competitive environment.

Volleyball I

This program is designed for the young athlete who wants to build a foundation in volleyball. Players will learn the basics of volleyball through motor learning and growth mindset and be taught passing setting, spiking and digging every session then play games using the skills learned. Earning stickers, making goals and having fun all while we are getting better at volleyball.

Volleyball II Now that players have learned the essentials, they will be taught the essential skills to take them to the next level. This session is challenging and we want every child to have fun and be excited to learn about the more intricate parts of the game. We will dive deeper into the basic skills and also play games every practice! At the end of the program we will have a round robin tournament!

Spring forward in the game! This program is open to boys and girls and designed to provide enhanced skills development through instructional drills on dribbling, shooting, receiving, and gamesmanship. Oconee Futbol Club USSF licensed coaches will teach each player the mechanics of the game through individual drills and small sided games. Players will develop confidence learning techniques and tactics while having fun! Sign up early as class size is limited!! (This is a supplemental program to our recreational soccer league. Participants should still register for the recreation soccer league to be on a team for game play.)

Get out of school and into the park where we strive to keep your child actively engaged in a safe, secure, enriching and fun environment. Transportation is provided immediately after school to the park. Daily snack is also provided. Activities include homework assistance, sports, games, arts and more. All day camps are offered to Oconee County students on select days when school is not in session. Snacks are provided but participants must bring a sack lunch. The day is filled with activities and games to keep the participants engaged.

YOGA CLASSES A mind/body practice of relaxation and rejuvenation using awareness, breath and movement to bring balance to the systems of the body. Yoga helps to increase flexibility and tone muscles while decreasing tension and relieving stress. This is the perfect class for beginners as well as those with some experience in yoga. Participants should provide their own yoga mat and 1-2 firm blankets.

Hands-on event for children to see, touch and explore their favorite big trucks, heavy equipment and large vehicles. Dump trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, and the like will be a part of the event. Each vehicle will be staffed with a trained operator. Lots of fun family activities will be offered.
The Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Major League Baseball and Scotts, will be hosting this competition. Open to all boys and girls. Winners from each group (7/8, 9/10, 11/12, & 13/14) will have the opportunity to progress to a sectional, regional, and national competition. No pre- registration is necessary. A waiver must be signed on site for participation.

Indoor Track / Gymnasium Membership
(Ages 14 and up) The Fitness Center features a wide array of state of the art cardiovascular and weight equipment including single and multistation trainers. We offer FREE WiFi in our Fitness Center. Fitness memberships are required for the exercise facility. Patrons ages 14-15 require adult supervision.

Walking Trails All of our parks have walking trails for everyone to enjoy. Herman C. Michael, Bogart Sports Complex and Oconee Veterans Park have paved walking paths. Trails at Heritage Park are open for seasoned hikers, mountain bike riders and/or horseback riders. Check our website for trail maps.
