2020 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA : 14,353 m2

The key attribute of a commercial project is Convenience, it guarantees a sustainable customer/visitor foot-fall and activates the project in such competitive market place. The main components of the Project Program are the Cinema, Offices, Retail shops and F&B, which all required an all day access to BOH for productive operations with minimum storage space and an equal exposure to the Customers and Employees. The building U-Shape massing was generated by these requirements , giving all offices and retail units an equal direct access by a Ring-Road a parking layout and the central CarFree Plaza that gives the visitor a 360 view and direct access to all project components. The Architectural Style is contemporary with neutral and neat material palette that works as a canvas for the colorful and busy retail units with maximum glazing for the offices to enjoy the natural Sun-light and the view of the green Plaza. Three Anchor shops and the cinema were positioned at the three corner of the Plaza to encourage the customers to walk around and explore.

02 MAKANI RETAIL CENTER AL WARAQAH 3 - DUBAI - UAE

2019 UNDER DEVELOPMENT | BUA : 5,100 m2

ROLE: SENIOR ARCHITECT | PROJECT MANAGER The client vision of creating MAKANI sub-brand as a new generation shopping center to fill the gap between local groceries and regional hypermarkets by offering a convenient shopping experience with easy and efficient access to meet daily customer needs, by providing a mid-size supermarket, restaurant, cafes, governmental services pharmacies and essential retails. The concept design approach was a reflection of the client vision and budget, using MAKANI logo as a place holder and welcoming feature that represent the meaning of the brand as My location or My place to be the center of action that been translated and formed by series of ripples echoing from the feature to create a circle cutout of the building for the entrance and cause a faded effect at the facade of folded panels pointing at it. The layout was studied to be highly efficient with minimum common area leads to the supermarket and on-street accessible retail and cafes at the main facade. Using simple & efficient engineering techniques and durable materials gave the building an effortless and minimal look yet the massing created an interesting and joyful ambience to the building.

03 KHOR AL RAHA DEVELOPMENT AL RAHA BEACH - ABU DHABI - UAE

ROLE: SENIOR ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM

2018 TENDER STAGE | BUA : 43,500 m2

located at a high end neighborhood with prime location that overlooking a ferry canal, a pedestrian boulevard and a north west sea view, the two adjacent plots have a huge potential for a luxurious and spacious residential development with challenging context disadvantages. A mixed use project that will block part of the sea view and the lack of public parks and playground areas in the surrounding neighborhood. Developing the two plots as one gave us an opportunity to create an introverted social community space that became the heart of the project . By creating a multifunction space with both social and sport activity, visually connected with the two buildings by convenient access from gyms, lobbies and swimming pools that generated an overwhelming family oriented activity hub . With a rich apartment mix, all spaces were optimized and enriched with spacious balconies , private dipping pool and a private garden that reflect the targeted owners taste and lifestyle nevertheless keeping the floor layout eďŹƒcient and feasible .

04 STAFF RECREATIONAL CENTER AL AIN - UAE

ROLE: SENIOR ARCHITECT | PRODUCTION TEAM

2018 UNDER CONSTRUCTION | BUA : 2,450 m2

Inspired by its location, context and users nature, the multifunction center was formed to standout by its neat finishes and proportional volumes yet blends nicely with the surrounding buildings . The design challenge was meeting the client budget and expectation with such complex project brief and spaces program. the concept design was driven and inspired by the local architecture forms order, color scheme and spaces progression , by abstracting and studying these elements to form the building mass, selecting cladding material colors, textures and design elements. With grand VIP entrance at the center of two symmetrical masses gave the building its formal look and made it blends nicely with the surrounding and camouflaged the recreational interior that consist of a spa, gym, cafeteria, lecture hall and VIP reception majlis . Hidden engineering eorts of the structural team by designing dierent slabs types, a hollow core slab that provided column less spans and a solid slab that carry the heavy MEP equipments above the BOH.

2018 COMPETITION 3RD PRIZE | BUA : 17,000 m2

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM Abu Dhabi COOP is a well known establishment with long rich history seeking a fresh and modern identity, seeking to build a mixed use building with complex brief consists of Head quarter offices occupying two levels on top of two level hypermarket. The challenge was studying the complex relation between different corporate department offices and yet focusing on providing an easy access layout. The U-Shaped massing created a central welcoming plaza representing the local Emirati oasis and works as the heart and access gate of the project. At ground floor the visitor enter to a double height lobby with banking services mass and a break out cafe on the top, leading directly the the center of the hypermarket for easier and convenient customer access. All offices spaces are wrapped around the open center enjoying the view and natural light with a breakout roof garden and multiple vertical cores. CEO office and board room located on top of the central plaza overlooking the heritage inspired entrance.

06 FAMILY PRIVATE RESORT

2018 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA : 3,200 m2

located in a remote location in Abu Dhabi desert with no context or directional view the compound was shaped as an introverted urban hub that reflect the client family life style and vision. Each villa of the six sons along with the main villa and guest house has its own plot boundary and privacy with separate backdoor access from the perimeter and main door from the inner circular track . All villas are pointing towards the center spa facility creating an unified compound with a floating louvered canopy wrapping all buildings together and creates a transparent boundary wall that define the project boundary. The central spa facility works as the heart of the compound with multiple entertainment , social and wellness spaces, spa, family lounge, dinning room, guest majlis, swimming pool and gym. The compound enriched with palm trees, shaded walkways and water feature that created a modern oasis and provide privacy for each zone with horizontal architecture design of floating layers and simple masses.

07 DUBAI HILLS DEVELOPMENT DUBAI HILLS - DUBAI - UAE

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM

2018 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA : 76,980 m2

At a distanced location from the city center, Dubai hills vision was to create an aordable yet active and social urban extension. The square shaped plot with high density occupancy required several massing study to create a comfortable and bespoke living experience and to meet the developer expectations of maximum allowed residential areas. The two linear buildings positioned at the perimeter of the plot creating a rich and spacious central platform with an opportunity to develop a high-end urban experience and an attractive inner view. The modular layout design of the residential building was intentional and solving a structural challenge of laying a complex unit mix in an eďŹƒcient and interesting mass. All rooms are rotated , shifted and staggered vertically to achieve convenience, privacy and to enjoy the stunning view of Dubai city skyline. The central platform was elevated to create a retail boulevard without interrupting the swimming pool privacy and the experience of social residence terrace around it.

08 THANAYA RESIDENTIAL BUILDING KHALIFA PARK - ABU DHABI - UAE

2017 UNDER CONSTRUCTION | BUA : 17,000 m2

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM located at a high density neighborhood surrounded with oďŹƒces and other residential buildings the project has challenges to provide a comfort and private life style for the apartments. The concept was to design a high eďŹƒcient and modular structure layout that respect the surrounding parameters, by having the living room of the spacious apartments at the corners with openness to at the road intersections. The building is wrapped with motorized perforated louvers that created an interesting timeless skin that could be opened at the morning time to welcome the natural light and sun beams and could be closed at night to provide more enclosed space yet with a view at the surroundings through the perforated panels and vise versa. At the narrow sides elevation all louvers are fixed at an angle that provide view and natural light and yet privacy all day long for the bedrooms. Ground floor and mezzanine formed with folded fretted glass panels chime with facade motorized panels.

09 CORPORATE OFFICES HQ KIZAD - ABU DHABI - UAE

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM

2017 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA 8,000 m2

The national digital defence and cyber security work nature requires a high level of secured access control and offices privacy but the client brief was interesting by requesting a public welcoming building even though the complex offices program and sensitive building nature. The concept design translated the client requirements into two linear offices spaces with slopped roof garden wrapped around a central core that hosts the high security labs and offices. Each end of the two slopped masses was lifted to create a welcoming entrance one for the public visitor and the second for Government VIPs, Each providing visual access to the core with secured lobby that separate visitor from the core. Two side employees entrances provide them with direct and convenient access to their offices through access controlled lobbies while the public can hangout at the slopped garden and interact with the high security facility, the facade treatments of angular louvers animated the building and gave it a transparent and obese look depending on the visitor movement and point of view.

10 NAJMAT C2 RESIDENTIAL TOWER AL REEM ISLAND - ABU DHABI - UAE

2017 UNDER CONSTRUCTION | BUA : 54,240 m2

ROLE: ARCHITECT | PRODUCTION TEAM Project located at 2,992 m2 plot on an underdevelopment Manhattan-Like island that represent a necessary extension of Abu Dhabi city vast growth and respond to expanding demand for residential units. The tower consists of 34 residential floors, 2 podiums for car parking and town houses, ground floor with entrance lobby and retail shops and 3 basement car parking and services. The architectural design is a contemporary extrusion of glazing and stone finished facade enriched with spacious terraces with elegant rhythm and stepped massing at the top that reflect the residential function and luxurious modern interior. As a mid-size family oriented development, the tower include 254 residential units with variant types and sizes, and eďŹƒcient gross floor area utilization to provide a competitive rent/buy rates. The unit mix consists of 85 1BR, 130 2BR, 28 3BR, 7 3BR Duplex and 4 3BR town houses located at the podium floors.

2017 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA : 26,700 m2

Our vision was to add to the city heritage and by creating a destination that fits with Abu Dhabi community needs and provides dierent entertainment facilities and services. The journey starts at the heart of the development with central plaza surrounded by cafes and restaurant and opened towards the sea view that split the development into two wings, one dedicated for sports, leisure and culture activities and the second was designed as a relaxing destination. The activity wing includes a marina boardwalk a cinema , retail center for swimming equipment and leads to the gym and spa, and the opposite side hosts a grand restaurant and cafe with rooftop seating next to a public beach and access controlled beach that respect the conservative nature of residents. The organic and curvy flow of the pedestrian walkways extending the sea view, and reflect the natural beach silhouette, The architectural design of the buildings peels up gently from the ground creating a seamless access experience and sea view without interrupting the view from the existing on-street corniche.

12 BEACH HOUSE & GUEST MAJLIS ABU DHABI - UAE

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM

2016 UNDER CONSTRUCTION | BUA : 2,400 m2

An under construction u-shaped structure located at prime location with sea view and a private beach needed to be modified and extended to meet the client brief and family requirements. The architectural design inspired from the grand masses and rich ornament details of the moroccan architecture as requested by the owner with 5 bedroom and kids nursery extension connected with the parent wing. By studying and adjusting the existing structure with minimum modifications created a bespoke layout that separate between public and private spaces in a gentle transition to provide equal access to the palm courtyard from both the majlis and parent wing yet providing a private indoor circulation. All rooms and spaces arranged to overlook the sea view by locating all services, maids room and the nursery at the back side . The modern interpolation of Moroccan inspired pattern was used around the project on the stone cladding, sun louvers and balcony balustrades, the facade was treated with earthy color palette to create a cozy living vibe.

13 RWB4 RESIDENTIAL BUILDING AL RAHA BEACH - ABU DHABI - UAE

2016 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA : 22,800 m2

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM Inspired from the famous Miami 60s building with white concrete rendered facade, neat iron frames and curved corner window, aiming to create a luxurious and peaceful residence that stand out with its minimal facade yet unique elliptical outline. The floor layout is a composition of modular structure with gradual outline that gives the opportunity to switch units sizes in dierent floors and keeps the seamless repetitive layered facade. Surrounded with spacious terraces that give a private chalet experience with adjacent spacious 2BR and 3BR to create an exceptional living experience and emphasize the floating theme of the layered architectural design. Open ends of the layout common corridor provided natural light to the interior public space with out door gardens that provide privacy for residents and enrich their trance experience. All apartments layouts was designed to reflect & respect the conservative nature of Abu Dhabi community with entrance foyer that separates the living room from the bedrooms and creates a convenient and private spaces.

14 SOUQ WAQIF SPA

2016 UNDER CONSTRUCTION | BUA : 3,200 m2

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM Located at a prime location at the heart of Souq Waqif with extended corner view, the plot has many massing opportunities but the architectural style was constrained by municipality guidelines and regulations of using the surrounding local architectural style. Behind the mandatory traditional facade, a contemporary layout and design elements that meet the modern lifestyle of Doha residents and enrich the interior experience and reflect the leisure function. Ground floor hosts a traditional restaurant with direct pedestrian access and has two separate access for male and female facilities to provide privacy and convenient. Male lobby leads to a the gentleman salon at located at ground floor, with elevator leads to a gym at 1st floor and the gentlemen spa in the basement and next to it a service core leads to the kitchen in the basement that connected to ground floor and roof restaurant via a service lift. Ladies have an allocated access with spacious reception area next to a hair saloon at ground floor and lead them to the spa at the basement and 1st floor gym.

2016 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA : 15,000 m2

Adapting to the high density surrounding neighborhood with introverted design, the building facade of angular louvers that provide privacy yet openness and natural light. The concept design of cutting the building into two masses at its diagonal created a grand gate and access pathway, a naturally shaded inner active heart created an extensive facade that attract more natural light to the indoor spaces. The slightly twisted massing with sharp edges reflect the corporate identity and stand out in the busy context with its unique design, urban central active corridor and open floor layout overwhelmed with natural sunlight. 3 bridges connecting the executive floors for accessibility and functional purposes created a visual connection of the two sharp edges masses and animate the building massing . Both public employees and visitor accesses located at the center of the pathway creating a continuous facade without any interruption from outer streets and provided a unique and convenient experience for the users.

16 WOMEN COMMUNITY CENTRE AL RAHBA - ABU DHABI - UAE

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM

2016 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA 8,200 m2

Al Rahba women cultural club is a simple old building with white plastered facade and repetitive arches located at the corner of spacious plot with front tree garden required an extension with various cultural and sport activities . The urban design respected the heritage of the existing building and aim to create and extended the site experience at the opposite side of the existing garden that shaped the heart of the project and created a transition and a connection between the dierent project elements. The architectural style reflected the contemporary use and adapted to the location with soft curved lines that represent the user character and complement the architectural style of the old building. the project consists of a wedding hall, gym, spa, swimming pool and restaurant, connected with series of canopies inspired by the dandelion flower that flow around the masses and create a shaded walkway and a passage leading to the reception area that was created by a group of adjacent canopies to provide a seamless indoor/outdoor experience.

2015 CONCEPT PROPOSAL | BUA : 7,500 m2

Located at a modern extension of Al Doha city, The two sided accessible plot was given the opportunity to create two different development back to each other with one architecture style that standout from the plain surrounding extrusions with its playful massing and composition. The offices building was formed with a contrast of transparency facade and patterned walls that provide the inner spaces with natural light and creates a welcoming facade to the public. The residential building is a stack of shifted blocks that reflect the different apartment sizes and creates roof balconies that been treated with the same pattern design at a smaller scale panels to provide privacy and shading for the interior spaces.

18 ISF PARKING BLOCK

D-RING ROAD - DOHA - QATAR ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM

2015 UNDER CONSTRUCTION | BUA 24,600 m2

An existing unfinished car parking block next to the client corporate was delivering it purpose but creating an odd scene for the high end neighborhood. The client requested to enhance the building facade and to create an interesting composition with harmony to the corporate offices design. The cladding material were selected to complement the office building and stand as a sculptural feature to create an interesting destination. All vertical elements and elevators cores were cladded with durable porcelain tile with terra-cotta finish that match the color of the office building plaster and gives the structure an industrial look that reflect it function. GRC suspended panels wrapped the building were inspired from the desert cracks of Qatari desert and allow natural ventilation & natural light and enrich the building aesthetics .

KAIZEN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

19 MARKSTONE HEADQUARTER DUBAI STUDIO CITY - DUBAI - UAE ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM An international media corporate with interesting creative work nature & daily routine and multiple department seeking to build a headquarter that host their creative studios, located on two amalgamated plots .

2015 ABORTED | BUA : 28,800 m2

The building massing is glass cubes composition inspired from the rich departments mix, sliced into two main projected masses horizontally and as three stacked horizontal layers that provide natural light to the multi-direction journey between several communal spaces at each floor. A double hight grand entrance that welcomes employees & visitors and reflect the social characteristic and creative orientation of Markstone corporate identity leads to a central easy access core. A daily use spacious terrace dedicated for sta outdoor gathering at the roof top of 2nd floor, a high tech meeting room at 3rd floor and fourth floor, events terraces at the roof top of 5th floor dedicated to host client event that over looking the studio city boulevard. At the top of the building, the seventh floor hosts a media center and the CEO grand oďŹƒce.

20 VILLA LANDSCAPE ENHANCEMENT ABU DHABI - UAE

2015 UNDER CONSTRUCTION | AREA : 37,500 m2

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM LEADER The concept design was driven by the client story about their young time daily routine at their hometown, they wanted to walk by the valley next to a small river and a lake like the old days. A daily seamless journey between dierent activity zones, a platform with cascaded water fall for family gathering and celebration with direct access from the reception salon with kids playground that can be overseen from the family room terrace, with flower garden and zen garden at both sides to enrich the view and to reflect their home town theme. With a guest house and a small river passing by a valley of artificial stone leads to a bio lake with aqua plants and a bridge passing over representing a feng-shui welcoming feature next to the main villa entrance. Another zen garden placed next to the access gate to block the view from the gate and create a nice transition that unveil the site and anchor the survey road. A board walk track and a sport grade running track where design as ribbons that go through and around all features for daily relaxing walk and sport activity.

ROLE: ARCHITECT | PROJECT MANAGER Designing an accommodation city for 34,000 engineers and labors on 2,045,000 m2 land has many engineering and planning challenges, with several commuting, security services and access concerns. With an extensive study of the client brief and requirements, the design approach of creating a user friendly and convenient environment divided the project into 5 clusters to create a practical and secure facility management operations, and to provide all sta types with their daily life needs. A central cluster that includes all management facilities, security building and health services with direct access to all 4 accommodation clusters. Each cluster was designed as a micro city with all essential services at the center of it, with two bus station that provided convenient access and solved the security concerns of multiple gates and multiple bas access. The architectural design of the accommodation building has a modular precast shell with dierent partitioning options to accommodate several room sizes and a feasible construction method.

22 SHAMS C21 RESIDENTIAL TOWER SHAMS ISLAND - ABU DHABI - UAE

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM LEADER

2014 COMPETITION 1ST PRIZE | BUA : 27,870 m2

The architecture design is inspired from Abu Dhabi city , with its rich golden sand and with light blue sea. The client brief consists of a defined unit mix ranges from studios to 4 bedroom with town houses and duplexes. Shaped as intersected extrusions composition of 5 dierent floor layouts reflect the variant unit types and stand among the commercial sounding context of plain and repetitive floors buildings. the building consists of one basement and 3 podium levels that provide all required parking numbers for residence and their guest. The excessive podium area was used to developed small duplex units with direct parking access along the podium facade, that provided an eďŹƒcient and unique apartment layout for small family and enriched the project presence at street level.

ROLE: ARCHITECT | DESIGN TEAM A residential urban extension with 3 types 1,200 villas with 3 schools, a mall , 2 mosques , wedding hall, 4 town centers, oďŹƒces building and police station.

2013 BUILT | AREA 606,578 m2

A high voltage cable grid divided the site into two parts formed a green zone and became the constrain axis that drives the urban design to provide a convenient streets grid and eďŹƒcient land use. A grand entrance at the main gate with a monumental roundabout formed the public district of the project serving the community residents and other adjacent surrounding developments, leads to 4 main roads grid that intersected to create a public park and playground that became the heart of the project. All premium villas placed on the main roads forming a continuous high end facade along with schools and town centers which distributed around the 4 residential districts for easy pedestrian access. The architectural design was inspired from the famous Iraqi architecture and its rich ornaments with modern volume and floor layouts that meet the young families needs and life style.

ROLE: ARCHITECT | TEAM LEADER A boutique hotel ,two level restaurant, private chalets and an equestrian club with horse arena, located at a beautiful rural sloped plot was full of opportunity and challenges,.

2012 ABORTED | BUA : 4,700 m2

Surrounded with a stunning village fabric at the edge of an old city, with tens of single family houses that adopted with the mountaineer nature by using sloped roofs and stepped floor slabs. Seeking luxury and elegant feeling, using natural stone from the village with nicely detailed limestone corniches and arches gave the building a rural European look that reflect the classiness of the facilities inside. At the top of the sloped site, 2 story hotel shaped like an open arms hugging the stepped terraces that serve the 2 stories restaurant below . The terraces lead to the twin chalets compound, each one with private pool and garden over looking the equestrian club arena. The club formed the end of the journey with indoor and out doors arenas , stables and visitor cafe.
