September 2015

From The President & CEO

Scott Batulis President & CEO

We’ve had many accomplishments so far this year and our success is attributed to teamwork. These successes will be featured at the upcoming Town Hall Meetings that all staff are encouraged to attend. Additionally, there will be opportunity for you to ask questions, meet with senior leaders and share your ideas on how we can enhance our services. Speak with your supervisor on dates and times of these meetings.

To achieve success, research shows that how you feel about your work and workplace is essential to doing your best and delivering the highest quality healthcare to our patients. That is why we conduct the annual Employee Engagement Survey. We will again partner with Gallup to launch our Engagement Survey on Wednesday, October 15, 2015. Your survey invitation will be mailed by Gallup to your home. The invitation contains your unique employee code and a sample of the questions. Once the survey launches, you can choose to participate online or by phone. When you take the survey, I ask that you consider your overall work experience at Orange Regional and answer each question as best you can. Thank you in advance for supporting the survey. Your feedback helps us create a better workplace. Should you have any questions about our Engagement Survey, please ask your Manager or contact Betsy Kennally, Director of Organizational Development at 845-333-0227. Thank you for your continued support.

Executive Town Hall Meetings — Stronger Together! Over the last few years, in collaboration with you and our physicians, Orange Regional has developed outstanding clinical programs that have garnered national recognition. In addition, our patient experience scores have increased substantially. Our growing patient volume indicates that Orange Regional is becoming the “destination hospital” for patients in the surrounding counties. As members of the Orange Regional staff, we hope that you are proud of these accomplishments and are comfortable and confident in using and recommending Orange Regional services for yourself, your families and your friends. There is much more to do and your opinions are deeply important to us. Please join us for a one hour meeting to celebrate our successes, ask questions and to provide feedback. We are stronger together! The remainder of our meetings are planned for:

Sincerely,

October 1 at 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m. 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. October 2 at 7:30 a.m.

Scott Batulis, President and CEO

All meetings will be held in Conference Rooms 1, 2 and 3. Light refreshments will be served.
