For us to continue going "above and beyond" in our organization and provide excellent service to our community, our work environment must be one that supports each of us to do our best every day.
This is the time of year when we take a moment to gain input from everyone, ensuring we are doing everything we can to develop a culture and workplace of excellence. Our engagement survey is the opportunity for each of us to "vote" regarding what is working well, and where we can improve next year. We have partnered with the Gallup organization again this year to conduct our engagement survey. You should have received an invitation from Gallup at your residence that will contain your unique code. This code allows you to participate in the survey by web or phone. Caring for our patients and community is a calling of the highest order. Our work environment must be one that allows us to deliver on quality patient care. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. If you have questions about the survey, please speak with your manager or contact Naomi Lippin, Manager of GHVHS Organizational Development and Learning at (845) 333-0228. In service, Jonathan Schiller Chief Executive Officer
Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award Catskill Regional has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success in ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines collected from the scientific evidence. To receive the Silver Plus Quality Achievement award, hospitals must achieve 85 percent or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke achievement indicators for at least 12 consecutive months. During the same period, they must achieve 75 percent or higher compliance with five of eight of the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Quality measures. “A stroke patient loses 1.9 million neurons each minute treatment is delayed. This recognition further demonstrates our commitment to delivering advanced stroke treatments to patients quickly and safely,” said Catskill Regional CEO Jonathan Schiller. “The recognition from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Award further reinforces our team’s hard work.”
