From the President & CEO The growing demand for our Emergency Department (ED) services, significant patient volume increase, and the need to provide quality acute care in our recently designated Level II Adult Trauma Center, has led us to move forward with the expansion of our ED. We have outgrown our current space even with the opening of a new Observation Unit and increased Urgent Care services which help us provide quality emergency services to our community.

This expansion will be on the east and north sides of the ED and will add approximately 52 new treatment bays. A free 600-space employee parking garage will also be constructed on the east side of the expanded ED to provide additional parking spaces for patients and visitors. The existing helipad will be relocated nearby. By the end of this year, we hope to have a finalized

Special thanks to our Strategic Planning Department and ED administrators and staff for aligning our strategies with best practice. This project is a massive undertaking with a lot of moveable parts and details needed for operational excellence. I will update you as we progress.

Orange Regional is seeing more patients, attracting more staff and providing more services to the community. This growth is indicative of our role as a trusted healthcare leader, but it also means we need more space to do what we do best. This architectural rendering provides a glimpse into how our hospital will look once our expanded Emergency Department and staff parking garage open. It is an exciting look at big things to come.
