S u c h diversity flows from Peter Ghyczy - a creator and inventor who, back in the tempestuous 60s, began shifting boundaries of design and construction. Born in Budapest, Ghyczy worked as an architect in Germany as head of the legendary ‘design center’, and has now been living in the Netherlands for many years. He operates comfortably in several languages and masters a number of different styles. Peter Ghyczy believes that the secret of good design is much as the secret to a good cup of coffee: the right blend. For him, there has never been a contradiction between the rationality of the t e c h n i c i a n a n d t h e e l e g a n c e o f t h e a e s t h e t e . A n e n t r e p r e n e u r, i n v e n t o r, master of taste, Peter Ghyczy is a citizen of the world. As we all are.

CRAFTSMANSHIP Glass, wood and metal. The products in the Ghyczy Collection are built in classic materials. The vast choice of varieties - from solid oak to cherry wood, from brass to stainless steel - makes the possible combinations almost endless. The processing and finishing is executed in the finest tradition of craftsmanship, d e m a n d i n g d i l i g e n c e a n d f l e x i b i l i t y, and allowing the special wishes of each customer to be met. Because the designs are so well-engineered the warranty for structure and material is virtually neverending. One of the unique features of the Ghyczy collection is the sand casting. This technique, with its many steps, allows objects to be highly complex but optically s i m p l e , a s s e e n i n P e t e r G h y c z y ’s s o l u tions for table legs and clamps. Another distinctive feature: The finish, polished or partially left rough, lends an interesting individuality to each piece, making it an unique item.
