Responsibility: I was the team leader, working directly with the Managing Director, manage other designers and technical team. • Feasibility study and programming: successfully establish the programs for a complicated mixed-use development (multi-branded, convention hotels) with client and other investors group. • Masterplan: co-ordinate with local architect and traffic consultant to tackle the existing traffic problem and set up an effective principle for site access. • Concept design: architecture design for all the components including 2 hotels, a convention centre, 2 office blocks and retail, F&B as well as shared basement for BOH, MEP and parking facilities. • Schematic design: coordinate with other consultants including structure, MEP, operator, BOH & kitchen, F&B, lighting, landscape designer and local architect, manage design and technical team to develop the concept. • Understanding local regulation to assist local architet for submission process. • Create many interesting pocket spaces for an urban context. • Successful achieve an efficiency of 90% for lettable area. 33

design palletes | this is a large scale project with really 2 different scale products: guestblock and villa. The strategy is to use a structure/ pattern - prawn farm, that is derived from local area as a design palette to maintain the consitency of all the typologies.

guest arrival experience | a series of spaces - a long entry driveway that takes visitor to experience the sand dunes in the middle of no where, wild landscaped, then dramatic drop-off, to a friendly lobby that provides an unexpected surprise - an amazing ocean view. The vertical brick screen controls view to the discreet “haven� beyond.

700 sqm banquet hall that is divisible by 2 to be able to hold 2 separate events at the same time. Beside M.I.C.E, wedding is also a good source of business in this local market. A spacious outdoor function with ocean view is well integrated with landscape design. Two function pavillions are lifted to upper level, make them become more private and exclusive. This also helps to break the mass of 9m banquet hall (6m floor to ceiling).
