Steelcase Competition

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Creating an immersive office environment for the fictitious robotics company, NEXT using the Steelcase catalogue. The concept is inspired by famed American painter and Architect, Frank Stella. Stella employed consistent use of contrasting geometric shapes and bold, warm colors in his paintings. These are some of the techniques which were also applied to the design.

A Group project designing an indoor play space for immunocomprimised children and their caregivers, Lily's Pad aims to create hyper-sterile play for children impacted by Luekemia and other immunocomprimising diseases. The design mimics nature to provide children with an opportunity to simulate the outdoor play they are craving. This project engages skills in ideation, rendering and material selection

Shipping Containers

PROJECT BACKGROUND

This project was for the 2021 IDEC Competition. The challenge was to design a live/work environment for a Navajo textiles business. Additional challenges and considerations include sustainability, representation of Navajo culuture and working within the constraints of three shipping containers. Combining learned skills in research, conceptualization, space planning, material selection and graphic layouts, this group project solves a number of design challenges.

Breast Care Clinic

PROJECT BACKGROUND

A group project to create a holistic women's breast care treatment center. The objective is embracing serenity in the midst of the chaos that comes along with Breast Care treatments. Located in Scottsdale, Arizona the design taken inspiration from the selenite rose crystal which is often found in arid desert settings and represents serenity and peace.

Residential Projects

PROJECT BACKGROUND

To design a Rowhouse in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington D.C. When viewed from above, the neigh borhood creates an intricate pattern of geometric shapes. Taking inspiration from these striking patterns and incorporating both bold and neutral colors, this rowhouse is a true reflection of the beautiful surrounding neighborhood.

Micro Apartment

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The challenge of the micro-apartment was to design a space where any young adult could live, work and maintain an active lifestyle in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Taking inspiration from the oil boom in Tulsa during the 1920's, this design embraces art deco motifs and the theme of prosperity. This can be seen through verticality, reflectivity, sunburst patterns and shapes that nearly represent oil derricks.

Hunting Lodge

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Designing a multi-family bunkhouse in South Dakota that is the perfect home base for hunting and other winter activites. This project encompassed the majority of learned skills in Revit and allowed for formless exploration of design.
