The Traidcraft Stall is in church today. There will also be a Big Christmas Shopping Day on Saturday 16th November at Northcliffe, Gatherley Road, Brompton on Swale from 10.00am – 4.00pm. All are very welcome. Olive-wood items from Palestine. Anne Simpson will be showing some of these items after the 10am Parish Communion today and again on 3rd November. Do have a look and buy or order - they make good Christmas presents! If you are attending the Service of Light, (formerly the service of Hope and Remembrance) at 4pm on Sunday 3rd November and wish to have a departed loved one mentioned by name during the service, please add their details to the list at the back of church.

Will be open each Saturday through the Winter months, between noon until 1.00 p.m., from 3rd November. It is hoped it will provide a place and time for quiet rest and prayer. After the Cards. Exploring Faith at the Rokeby Inn on the A66 with speaker Revd Canon Dr Alan Bartlett on ‘Vicaring in the 21st Century – Why and How?’. Admission is £6 (including refreshments). A new programme brought to the Church by the well-known local folk group, Fourum, which includes church musicians Rod Hall and Jim Jack. Focusing on the legends, characters and traditions of Swaledale, there will also be songs from Scotland and Tyneside. A first performance of a new song – ‘St Mary’s Bells’ by Rod Hall – is also promised. Harmony, humour and audience involvement are also part of the mix.
