St Francis Xavier joint RC and C of E Secondary School are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational person to develop chaplaincy within the school. Are you interested or curious about Reader Ministry, or wanting to study theology? You are invited to come along to St Mary’s Church on Monday, 9th June 2014. During this session you will be able to explore Reader Ministry, the expectations and preparation, and consider offering yourself for training and licensing, or you might just like to hear of the theology courses on offer through the diocese. Attending will not commit you in any way unless you want to proceed further with either study or Reader Ministry. Friday 13th June The Friends of St Mary’s are holding a Social/Fundraising BBQ in aid of the Disability Access Toilet Fund. Weather permitting it will be in the rectory garden. Tickets, £5 adults and £3 for children, are available from Margaret Emmerson, Claire Murray, Liz Chambers or any committee member. Donations of salads and puddings will be very welcome. There is a list on the cupboard at the back of church. Squash will be provided but please bring any other drinks you require and a glass to put it in.
