Sophie Overin and the choir of St Mary’s Church are holding a Sponsor-A-Hymn evening on Friday 28th February. This is in aid of the Amala Trust and her school visit to the Amala Children’s Home in Southern India. The Children’s Home provides accommodation and schooling for boys and girls from some of the most deprived families in a remote rural area of Tamil Nadu. *********************************************** Women’s World Day of Prayer is interdenominational and is taking place on Friday, 7th March 2014 at 2.00pm, in the Methodist Church. This year the service has been prepared by Christian women of Egypt. There will be a meeting at 2.00pm on Thursday 13th February at the Methodist Church for all those interested. *********************************************** A five session ecumenical discussion course ‘BUILD ON THE ROCK’ (Faith, doubt – and Jesus) begins w/c 10 th March 2014. Groups are being held at five different venues. Thanks to Olive and her band of helpers for all their hard work over the two ‘Coffee Days.’ Wednesday 12th February at 2.00pm at the Rectory. Thirsty for prayer but not sure how to pray, or looking for a new way to pray? This is the fourth of a six week course ‘Come to the Well and Drink.’ This week the focus is on Imaginative Contemplation. Monday 17th February, 7.00pm PCC at the Peter Wenham room, Richmond Museum.
