Good Friday The CTIR Walk of Witness will start at the Roman Catholic Church in Newbiggin at 10.00am, then proceed to the Market Square via Finkle Street and from there to the Friary Gardens for the closing act of worship. Church Decorarion Some of us will be in church from 10am on Saturday 19 April to decorate for Easter with lilies and other flowers. If you feel you could help in any way, we should be delighted to see you; coffee and hot cross buns will be available to tempt you to come. Also many thanks to the people who have given donations for lilies, it is much appreciated. Judith Clarke Easter Sunday Don’t forget to bring your hard boiled eggs ready for the Annual Egg Rolling Competition after the 10.00am service. This competition is open to All Ages! There will also be a mini egg hunt. Food Bank Small eggs, eg. cream eggs would be appreciated. Jude Brown will be selling Easter cards in aid of the disability access toilet. They are available in packs of 5. Sing for the Mary Rose and Sea Shanties, with The Choral Workshop led by Musical Director Carol Gedye. For tickets, available from 13th April, call Sandra Johnson on 01748 821372 or see Christine Stedman in church. Adults £6, concessions £5, accompanied under 16’s free. Choral Workshops began taking place at St Mary’s Church in 2004 when friends, family and the church community gathered to sing together for Ruth Gedye’s Memorial Service. This 10th Anniversary Workshop is themed around light hearted sea shanties and a special work Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose. The Workshop will bring together over 80 singers and musicians.
