Thank you to all who donated to the Christian Aid Harvest Appeal last Sunday. We raised £296 which will be match funded and multiplied by the European Union, giving a grand total of £1481. A truly amazing figure!

Four of us are "running" the notorious Richmond 10k road race today for much-needed Church Funds. The run is reported to be amongst the most horrendously hilly road runs in the country and none of us are in the first flush of youth. Please make our pain worthwhile. The Hope and Remembrance Service is to be held in St. Mary's at 4.00pm on Sunday 4th November. In this service all those who have died during the past year are remembered by name. Please add the names of loved ones you would also like to be remembered to the list, which is on the table at the back of church. The Bible Society. Thank you to all who supported the recent coffee morning in the Town Hall which raised £268. Carole Ward is expecting to move to the annexe at her daughter’s home in Ellerton on 22nd October. DATES FOR THE DIARY Wednesday 17th October at 2.00pm Women’s Fellowship will be meeting in the Town Hall. A member of our local Alzheimer’s Society will be speaking to us. All are welcome as we support many who are in need of special friendship. Friday 19th October at 7.30pm. At St. Edmund’s Church, Marske. Come and sing a Harvest Celebration, with sacred and secular music and readings together with Marske Community Choir. A warm welcome to everyone. Saturday 20th October at 9.45am-12noon. The Rev Prof Walter Moberly, from Durham University, will be addressing Exploring Faith on the subject: ‘What does it mean to have faith in God? – The witness of Job’, at The Rokeby Inn, off the A66.
