All those in particular need of God’s comfort and healing, including, Enid Anderson, Jenny Beaumont, Frank Garman, Gordon Garfoot, Adam Gedye, Jasmine Guy, Graham Halliday, Stephen Salvin, Janet Smith, Mark Willey and all the patients at the Friary Hospital. We commend unto God’s merciful keeping those who have recently died, including Ivy Swainston, Philip Gazzard and Robert Lawson. We pray that God will bring comfort to all who mourn their loss. Fun-Key Church @ St Mary’s Richmond is Today at 4.00pm, with refreshments and activities from 3.40pm. We will be looking at how it is ok to be Asking Questions. Fun, faith and fellowship for all ages. All are welcome. Tuesday 29th April at 2.00pm at Greyfriars. The Mothers’ Union will have an update from Gillian, Claire and Julia about Reader training and Mission Shaped Ministry. Saturday 3rd May 5.00pm–6.30pm. Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose and Sea Shanties, with The Choral Workshop led by Musical Director Carol Gedye. For tickets, available from 13 th April, call Sandra Johnson on 01748 821372 or see Christine Steadman in church. Adults £6, concessions £5, accompanied under 16’s free. Choral Workshops began taking place at St Mary’s Church in 2004 when friends, family and the church community gathered to sing together for Ruth Gedye’s Memorial Service. This 10 th Anniversary Workshop is themed around light hearted sea shanties and a special work Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose. The Workshop will bring together over 80 singers and musicians. Also a children’s choir with young people from the schools in Richmond will join in the concert.


Sunday 4th May 10.00am service We welcome Katherine Hogg from Christian Aid who will be our visiting speaker. 11th – 17th May, Christian Aid Week will soon be here and once again Anne Simpson and Judith Barber are looking for willing collectors in Richmond. Each church has streets allocated to it and last year £3,527.19 was collected between them. They would love to equal or better that total this year! Please see the article in the May magazine. A list of streets allocated to St Mary’s is at the back of church. Please choose which you are willing to cover. Please consider helping to bring “Peace and Reconciliation” to some of the most desperate places in the world through the work of Christian Aid . Saturday 10th May at 7.00pm at the Influence Church. The Bible Society Cambodian Evening. Steve Norman will speak on his visits to Cambodia and the ‘Pink Bible’. Enjoy Asian snacks. There will be a retiring collection for the Bible Society in Cambodia.
