SHOEBOX APPEAL – For anyone who feels able to support the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Shoebox there are leaflets at the back of church listing the items, which would be welcome and those which are not allowed. This could be either individually or as a group. Pre - wrapped boxes are available from just inside the entrance to the Methodist Hall, as well as the final date for collection. What is at the Heart of Christian Mission Rev Antony will be leading a six week course looking at the meaning of Mission, starting this Tuesday 4th November at 2.00pm, at the Vicarage, Gilling West. This will be every Tuesday apart from 26th November, which is a Wednesday. Good Friday Drama 2015 Christians Together in Richmond are once again hoping to present a Drama on Good Friday and have chosen ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’ from the Iona Community. They are looking for anyone interested in taking part either front stage or helping with props, costumes etc. Rehearsals would start Thursday, Feb 26th 2015 for six weeks. John Dickinson would love to hear from anyone interested, young or old.

Saturday 8th November, Breakfast at 10.00am at the A66 Motel followed by Exploring Faith with Jonathan Ruffer. Jonathan has recently purchased Auckland Castle, home of the Bishops of Durham for over 500 years, from the Church Commissioners. His plan is to turn it into a centre telling the history of Christianity in the north. Saturday 22nd November St Mary’s Church and the Richmondshire Museum are holding a joint Coffee Morning in the Town Hall.
