The Parish of St Mary, Richmond with St Michael & All Angels Hudswell Sunday 4th November 2018. All Saints Sunday We offer a warm welcome to any visitors who are here with us today. Please stay for refreshments after the service. This morning’s service is for everyone and if needed there is a children’s area at the back of church. Lord’s Prayer and Communion Cubes for children are available for anyone to use during the service. Please just ask if you would like to borrow one. There is an induction loop system in the church for those who would find it useful.

Sunday 11th November 8.00am Holy Communion 9.45am Service of Remembrance 6.30pm Choral Evensong The Charity of the Month collection today is in support of S.A.N.D.S. The stillbirth and neonatal death charity. Operating throughout the UK, they support anyone affected by the death of a baby, working to improve the care bereaved parents receive, and promoting research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

You can now make a donation, pay into the collection, for your tea/coffee, for a mug, card, book, church magazine etc. using your Debit or Credit Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Just ask one of the Churchwardens or Sidespeople. Olive wood articles made by Christian families in Bethlehem are on display today at the back of church. Anne Simpson is once again selling these, all money going to the families in time for Christmas. Please have a look. You can reserve items if you don't have money today.


As a church, we are investigating the possibility of doing a Sunday Club as part of the 10.00am service. This will enable our Church to help our children explore what it means to be followers of Jesus Christ. As part of this we are preparing materials and we have discovered that we are in need of some cardboard shoe boxes that we can use to store our stories in. They need to be the type of shoebox that has a completely separate lid. Please see Sian or Claire for more details. DATES FOR THE DIARY Wednesday 7th November at 1.30pm. After the Cards and Visitors meet at Greyfriars Restaurant. Bereavement is a very difficult time time for the spouse/partner left behind. Carrie and friends would like to help you with the next step by meeting for coffee. Please contact Carrie Stephenson on 851003 for more information. This is a very informal and relaxed group. Thursday 8th November at 7.30pm-9.00pm at St Mary’s: Children and Youth Leaders Network Meeting. A get-together for all those involved with Children’s/Youth ministry in the Ripon Episcopal Area. Thursday 8th and Friday 9th November from 9.30am7.00pm. Olive Harrison will be holding her annual “All Day Coffee” in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support at her home: 52 Darlington Road, Richmond. Raffle and Tombola. Please support if you can. Saturday 17th November at Northcliffe, Gatherley Road, Brompton on Swale from 10.00am-4.00pm. Traidcraft Big Christmas Shopping Day. As well as the usual food products there will be Christmas confectionary, Advent Calendars, Christmas cards and crafts available. A stress free shopping experience where you can enjoy a cup of fair trade tea or coffee.


Sunday 18th November at 4pm: Cafe Church, when we welcome Rt Revd Helen-Ann Hartley, Bishop of Ripon. A very relaxed afternoon with coffee, cake, conversation and Compline. All are welcome.
