Christian Theatre Company comes to North Yorkshire secondary schools – could you host an actor? Saltmine Theatre Company is a professional Christian theatre company that tours churches, theatres and schools around the UK. We depend on the hospitality of local church congregations to find hosts for our actors when we tour. From the end of February until the end of March, Saltmine has a major contract with North Yorkshire Council to tour into secondary schools throughout the county with an anti-extremism production. Within the tour, Saltmine will visit Bedale High School, St Francis Xavier School, Risedale Community College and Wensleydale School Might you be able to host one of our actors during these visits? When: evenings of Sun 26th Feb, Mon 27th Feb, Tues 28th Feb and Mon 20th March Who: The full team is made up of four males and two females (age 19 to mid-twenties). Five of them are Christians and one of the men is a Muslim associate. The team has their own transport to get to hosts and they don’t all have to stay together! People of the same gender can share a room (not a bed please).

What’s needed: essentially we ask hosts to provide bed and breakfast for their guests. IF people wish to provide an evening meal or access to their kitchen for the team to cook their own food, this is an extra blessing but it is not compulsory (there are some dietary requirements in the team- Joanna at Saltmine can give more info). If you can help or want to find out more, please contact Joanna Bell: 01384 454807 or creative@saltmine.org. As a charity we cannot afford to pay for hospitality, but this is a great and hugely appreciated way to support Christian ministry in your area.
