August 26th 2017: from 11.30am - 2.00pm. As part of Georgefest there will be drop-in workshops, designed for all age groups and led by theatre professionals, to celebrate St Mary’s Church 1739 Georgian bell. Explore bells and bellringing through design, poetry, music and movement. These workshops are free, sponsored by Heritage Lottery Fund. The workshops will be different from those run recently in Richmond schools and will produce collaborative, community pieces of work ranging from collage, through poems, to tunes and dances, all inspired by bells and bellringing. Come to the church and just join-in! Then from 2.00pm-4.00pm. Tea and Coffee will be served at the back of the church and guided tower tours will be available.
