The Charity of the month collection today is Christians Against Poverty. They help over 29000 people a year in this country who are desperately trying to manage debt, struggling to find work and provide for their families or trying to overcome a dependency. The charity gives free debt help and also runs job clubs, release clubs and money courses.

Operation Christmas Child (Shoebox Appeal) Please see leaflets at the back of church. Covered boxes also available in the Welcome Area at the Methodist church. If you'd like to help in checking the filled boxes, there is a meeting in the Methodist Hall 9.30am, Monday 7th November when basic training will be given for helpers. Packing and checking boxes, at the same venue, 9.30am onwards on Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri between 7th and 18th November when you can also return your filled boxes. This year the boxes will be going to one of the Balkan countries. We have a few spaces available to visit Taylors Bell Foundry in Loughborough to see Richmond's new bells being cast on Thursday November 17th & Thursday December 8th. Places available on a 'first come first served' basis; please sign the sheet at the back of Church or telephone Liz Foster on 01748 825562. Please note this is a working, Victorian foundry and it is essential to wear strong shoes and suitable clothing. The bus is provided through our Heritage Lottery funding so there is no charge for the travel. We leave Richmond at 9.00 and expect to arrive back at about 18.45/19.00. CafĂŠ Church 4.00pm Sunday 20th November with Kate Bruce, Deputy Warden at Cranmer Theological College, Durham. She is a priest, author and theologian speaking on the theme "Creativity: Divine Gift?" Refreshments from 3.45 closing with Compline. Very informal, and thought-provoking. Queries or offers of baking to Gillian or Wendy please. Cleaning for Christmas Any who are able to join us on Saturday 26th November from 10.00am onwards will be most welcome. Refreshments provided. We will be busy in church between 10.00am and 12.00 on Saturday 26th November making the Christingles in readiness for the service at 4pm the next day. If you are available to help, even for a short while, please give you name to Claire Murray, the more the merrier.

Sunday November 20th Anne will be selling Olive wood products from Bethlehem made by Christian Palestinian families.
